In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Snake Eyed RAPTORs

go figure (about the size)

Oh cool , Thanks alot ! Yea i cant seem to get good pics of something so small . They look good when looking at the whole pic , but as soon as i crop stuff i loose all kinds of detail and they get fuzzy .

Thanks ! They are doing really well ,that guy hatched at only 3 g. 6-8-05 and is now 12g.

The most luck i think i need with them now is that the one is indeed a male and makes for a good breeder .

What software are you using? Cropping doesn't have *any* effect on the content of what is inside the crop box, unless you are then enlarging it. A crop tool is like a scissor. Imagine a print photo that you cut with a scissor; would any detail in the remaining image be lost? Of course not. Now, crop a negative and enlarge back to the same print size and of course you will lose sharpness.

MS Digital Image pro 7.0 . I really dont know what happens , maybe it just looks more clear being so small in the whole pic , then when i crop out the rest , im seeing what the pic really looks like up close (?)

Is it possible that you are looking at a 50% size (or similar) image before you crop and a full size image after? That might explain it. I'm not familiar with that software but I can't imagine that "old softy" would make a product where the crop tool actually alters the pixels not cropped out. Just a guess of course.

Thats the thing , it seems to enlarge it . Say pic is X - size on my screen , i crop it and it blows the selected part back up to X-size . Which makes it more fuzzy than it looked in the whole picture . make any sence ? any settings i may have wrong ?

Yes, that makes sense and that is the reason. It seems the software is "set" somehow to enlarge the area left behind resulting in loss of clarity. I am not familiar with that software but I imagine that someone here is and can help you turn that "feature" off.

Duh(smacks self) I guess you already said that. Darn can't help with that, sorry. However would you be able to get your hands on a graphics program? Especially one set up to manipulate photos, it would make it easier for you to change resolution, color, and size how you want.
OK I'll shut up now. :)

Sorry, but I have to say it . . . "get a Mac . . . "

This pix is crappy - I just did a quick crop of it with iPhoto. Never even worked to get this shot with macro. My point is - get a good machine with easy to use software.

Oh yeah - no virus'.

Plus - it' looks cool . . .
