    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Does anybody know where I can find a list of cities whose ordinances prohibit possession of a 6-foot boa? I can't simply search for a specific one since I havent decided where I am going to grad school but need to know whether I should make arrangements to leave my girl behind.
Thanks!

What state do you live in and where are you planning on applying? Obviously you should find somewhere that either has no restrictions or permits ownership, but also consider if the school you're applying to has the majors/programs you want or need. In worst case scenario, you may have to or otherwise find someone to look after it outside the city.

In my state, Illinois they have a law stating no ownership of snakes in excess of 6' due to them being "dangerous animals". This was challenged in court by owners of 14' and 16' Burmese pythons that were kept in secure enclosures in private homes. The authorities only found out about them through "neighbor fueds." When challenged the court the state lost as they could not prove these Burms were "dangerous animals" just snakes in excess of 6' and that the law was arbitrary. Since then the state has only been able to enforce this law against pet shops in that they can't sell snakes in excess of 6'. Both of the above snakes were returned to their respective owners. The only exception would be if you possessed a snake in excess of 6' and it bit someone and was reported. Then you would lose the snake and any court case.
