    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I know this should be in another section,but I have posted there before with NO luck,so here goes;
My question is about my king snakes behavior.I have 2 kings right now and they seem to share a funny "trait", if you want to call it that.They soak in their water dishes just before a shed.They may do 2 to 4 days of soaking.They are always very hungry after a shed so I feed them.Any where from :15 to a day later, they are back in the water dish for a period of time.
Now the humidity in their set ups is'nt too bad.One snake is in a 75 gal. with the humidity running in the mid 50's%
The other snake is in a 41 qt.tub,his humidity,for the time being is on the HIGH side(85%) because of the cypress mulch.
My corn NEVER soaked and always shed complete.These guys shed in pieces all over the place.What gives ??
Any ideas...
 
Do they have hide boxes? Maybe they enjoy the tight fit they get in the water dish? just an idea...

also, what are the temps? Maybe they are hot?
 
They each have 2 hides, one on the cool end, one on the warm end.Temps are fine,,mid to upper 70's on the cool end, and the warm hides are kept between 85-88.Should be good.:shrug01:
