In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I purchased from the Greg at the snake barn 2 female hondos they posted online about 3-4 weeks it was a albino female hondo 5ft and a hypo female sub adult. when i got the adult female albino she really underweight something he never mentioned in his ad. so when i got her i fed her and she has been eating fine for the last 3weeks its goign on to the 4 week and the female drops dead. i keep over 20 hondos and this has never happen to me before.
i emailed him and told him about it he said he isnt responsible cause its almost a month. i feel he is responsible cause if u selling a healthy animal and that animal is kept in bad conditions and isnt taken care of right it will live beyond a month, i keep all my animals in excellent conditions and she drops dead within a month. i believe its something internal somethign she came with. i want everyones thought on this..

jesus alonso

Did you complain to him about her being underweight when you first got her? What was his response?

i did complain to him about it. and iasked him if she ever suffered from vomitting. he responded by telling me oh one of them layed eggs and she never had a problems holding food down.

If you still have the emails between the two of you post them and any photos you have.

Did you complain about her being under weight?
Did you ask to return her when you got her?

After a month goes by it is really hard to expect much from the person you bought the animal from. If there were health issues when you got her you should have dealt with it then. Sorry you lost the snake..Randy

Jesus,
Sorry to hear of your loss, but I think you would have to have been more pro-active upon receipt of the animal to have a claim. Without knowing the TOS of the deal or the seller, you pretty much have to make a call within those TOS to either return the animal, get an extension of the TOS to see how it does, or keep it and be on your own. Since you had concerns, to keep it (whether through a modification of the TOS or just to outright accept all risk yourself) meant a vet check should have been in order. Not just for concerns about that animal, but for possible infectious disease that could cause more problems for other animals.

In essense you're SOAL as you did go far past any reasonable time period with no outward problems other than a skinny snake.

I would have a necropsy done to determine if the snake did arrive with something fatal. If it did, then you may have some recourse with the seller.

What did your old business name used to be Jesus? I know I recognize your name but I am wanting to put it with some differnt business name.

When in doubt, get something in writing extending a TOS or send the animal back, as unforutnate as it may be for the snake.
