In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Snare99 - Frog Depot - Sick Dragons & Scams

Regardless, the on the ad looks absolutely nothing color wise like the actual dragon. That's not okay and there's still the other issues at hand. I did an overlap as well just now and the only difference is maybe a slight change in the dragons wit, the were taken seconds apart and the color difference is insane. Let's not pretend it was an accidental thing he posted on the ad. There's no excuse for that significant of a difference or any of the other crap I mentioned.

I assure you, flash can make all the difference, especially in a dragon. My dragon is a hypo and she looks brown and dull without flash. With flash she is an almost vanilla cake color.
Same goes for all of my breeding Cresties...
Here, event this GTP I bought a week ago... seconds apart, one with flash, one without.

Of course the seller wants to represent the most authentic coloration of the animal. Flash and manipulation are two different things, lol.

I'm a licensed photographer, I understand how flash works. The point is, the two images are seconds apart and the coloration is not even remotely close. You don't post an image that falsely represents the dragons colors in attempt to sell. You also don't sell people sick dragons, lie that the woman said the dragons alive this morning, claim you didn't sell the dragon at all, claim I'm scamming and have many people saying they also were sold sick dragons and then turn off reviews and delete the post of not knowing her and not selling the dragon.

Looks like the same dragon to me, even has the exact same urate?(shed?) stuck to the top of its tail...
I have no horse in this race, I'm just looking at what's in front of me and that's what I see. :shrug01:

Photo or no photo, I don't see any evidence that any sick dragons were sold. I see a lot of anonymous quotes and some facebook whiners, but no actual evidence. We haven't even seen evidence that the dragon in the other thread is dead. Until one of the people who supposedly bought a sick dragon comes on here and posts some proof, the OP is wasting our time.

I'll be taking my leave from this page. It's amazing what's being stood up for, as on Facebook there were dozens upon dozens of comments in aggreeance. The photos look nothing alike in coloration, a reputable person doesn't post an image that falsely represents the color of their dragon. They also don't have multiple reviews for sick animals, several people commenting that they had similar experiences with sick dragons and frogs and they don't lie like I've proven he has. Thank you.

Facebook is all about rumor, innuendo, and mob-mentality. The BOI is about proof, which you have not provided. I'm not standing up for anyone. I'm asking for proof. Just like I would of anyone who posts here. I'm sure you would feel differently if it was your business that was under scrutiny. You wouldn't want people to come on here and just say "I heard she sell sick animals!" You would want the community to judge your business based on evidence.

I don't see it as people 'standing up' for anything but people trying to offer different view points and opinions.

The photos look nothing alike in coloration, a reputable person doesn't post an image that falsely represents the color of their dragon.

It's fairly obvious looking at the ad that the photo in question had a yellow tone and was not a correct representation (below screenshot). Everything in the photo is yellow tinted, especially evident in the arm.

Then you asked for more photos and the seller sent that one that showed the correct coloration:
I then asked once again, for additional females of the first pictured dragon, and he sent me this. Which is literally the photo from his ad, except without being altered to make the dragon look extremely vibrant. Then of course I never heard from him.

On just that one issue, I don't understand why it's being made to be such a big deal. It seems like an error and not deliberately misleading? Maybe I am missing something.

I agree it's more than likely flash, and calling that misrepresentation or manipulated is incorrect. Most people use flash and don't do anything to correct the levels afterward.

I have a snake that looks like a brilliant green-gold in flash. I am not misrepresenting or falsely doing anything, and certainly not doing it deliberately. It's just what the camera does. Being a photographic specialist, you should know this, eh? Getting truer to life photos doesn't mean he was faking or photoshopping his animal, and he may not have even noticed what flash did to the beardie. I think this is a colossal overreaction and vindictive.

I'd also like to see the other OP produce photo evidence that the beardie passed away. With how stressful shipping can be and how well prey animals hide illness, it is entirely possible Pat did not see anything wrong at the time of shipping. He's tried to refund that person without proof that the beardie has died, and that means a hell of a lot to many people.

Attached: comparison photos of my clearly 'shopped corn snake made of pure spun gold  and a photo of her in natural sunlight outdoors.

Sorry to post again immediately, but do many beardie morphs have iridophores in their skin? Many corn snake morphs do, and may be why some of them flash so brightly and others don't, even if flash "enhances" their color, like the anery corn in my profile pic.

Is this some kind of personal campaign against Pat Kline? This thread seems geared toward creating a histrionic fuss - that might work on FB but here you will get different opinions and people willing to take the time and think about things.

If it was proven that the seller photoshopped a picture that would be one thing, but there are clearly other explanations. I think the OP is reaching in trying to paint Pat as sending one picture, then another, then the "real" photo. Maybe he was busy and texting pics quickly? I just don't see that there is some nefarious reason. It's kind of a stretch to insist that there is.

Not only do they have iridophores but bearded dragons can show significant color changes based on temperature and time of day. See for example (free access)
