• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I purchased a lesser het VPI axanthic poss het albino from Katie a few weeks ago. The transaction was a little bumpy, but I'm pleased with the outcome.

I put a deposit down on the lesser when I saw her initial post showing off the hatchlings. It was labeled a female and that was going to be perfect for what I want to do in the future. I took too long to pay the lesser off, and Katie was accommodating.

While she was waiting for payment she fed the lesser, and held it briefly while we waited for weather clearance.

She shipped on a Wednesday. Early Thursday morning I get a call from Ship Your Reptiles telling me there was a "major mechanical malfunction" that has delayed the snake a day. I pick it up Friday and it was no worse for the wear.

As with all new snakes, I pop to make sure of the sex, and find this lesser to be a male. I took him to a friend of mine who breeds and he confirmed it was a male. At first, we thought the wrong snake may have been sent, but instead it was mis-sexed.

As soon as Katie realized what happened, she offered me two options, ship him back at her expense and a full refund, or keep him and recieve a 50% refund. I was going to send him back, but weather was going to prohibit that and I didn't want there to be any issues when he was returned. I kept him and used the refund to buy a female for him.

He is a healthy snake. He has eaten a few times and shed for me already.

TL;DR Despite mis-sexing the snake sent to me, Katie handled the situation perfectly. I will buy from her again when the time is right.
