I have a corn snake, who has been identified by a popular reptile blogger as snow, which I am trying to rehome. My reason for this is that my family's knowledge of reptile care is incredibly outdated and thus he is being poorly looked after.
His name is Lloyd, I'm unsure of his age but I got him some years ago. He usually has a strong feeding response but is otherwise rather tame and easy to handle, he is also very active.
He is currently co-habbing an aquarium tank with the other corn snake, both of them were off feed for awhile and I believe it is due to the stress of sharing a tank. This past week Lloyd did eat, but it took two tries because he stopped when he saw the other snake which my sister was holding.
He does eat f/t mice so you won't need to worry about transitioning him to them. He doesn't have any health issues I am aware of, but I'm not going to say he has none because I just don't know.
Ideally he whoever adopts him will be from Long Island, New York so we can meet and discuss. I would prefer him to go home with someone who has experience with snakes, and would greatly appreciate being kept up to date with Lloyd's well being.
It would also be good if you have references as a testament to your snake keeping abilities. This may seem like a lot but I just want to make sure Lloyd gets a good home.
If someone who is not local wants him I am willing to ship only if they have shipped and received shipped reptiles before and can walk me through the process.
