In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Snowing in the Jungle ?

This is why...

in my opinion we need a registry. As people start crossing different things to the Mack snow how can someone prove they have Mack blood. If the animal was registered I would think I would be willing to buy a yellow Mack Snow, but not until then.

Dan was wondering what are breeders calling Mack crosses? Like for this gecko would it be Jungle, het for Mack Snow?

She is a very cool looking gecko! Have you crossed your Mack with any Aptors yet? Now that's what I want to see.

Well , I dont think anything in a registry will help to prevent a scammer if thats what you mean .

But if you think about it , who has linebred Snows to pass off as Macks anyways ?

I would say to go to the breeders that are known at the moment to have actual Macks .

Also there is no mistaking a Super Snow , and i dont think it will be hard to spot say a Super Snow Albino or even a Snow Albino .

Like for this gecko would it be Jungle, het for Mack Snow?

A more correct term would be "Jungle Heterozygous Super Snow" "Jungle Snow" or "Jungle Mack" .

Since the "Snow" form is visibly Het for "Super Snow" its just "Snow Het Albino" or "Double Het Super Snow Albino "

Likely i will play around with RAPTOR X Mack , but will only produce Snow Albinos Het RAPTOR when i have a RAPTOR female old enough to breed to a Mack het Albino . Wont be for quite awhile

Nice!

Wow...That is one nice leo! It's an exciting time to be breeding right now. Though, in my opinion, breeding leo's is always exciting : ). I have my own project going on right now (Giant and super giant blazing blizzards)...But still not as nice as that baby! Again, AWESOME leo!

Thanks :)

Sure is even more exciting now . I was floored to hatch my first geckos about 12 years ago . A clutch of normal AFT`s from a pair bought from a pet store.

Took me quite awhile to get back to it after selling everything when i had to move once . Oh well , it was even more exciting getting into Leos again 2 years ago at NARBC . Then i hatched my first Leos (Tremper PA`s) last November.

Now it is just mind boggling and im quite 'hooked' LOL

Just wanted to ad to this ,the update pic was taken under flourescent so the yellow shows up a little more .

The best way to describe a Mack is it has a 'yellow frost' over white , and this one looks a little more white in person. Pictures do not seem to do them much justice.

Also unless you are crossing linebred Snows into this line , im fairly certain white Macks will become less often produced . They all start off grey to white and black hence the term 'snow' .

As more 'Normal', Tang, etc. genes are added ,or as more outcrossing is done they will continue to be yellow or yellow-ish(LOL) since 'Normal' coloration is fairly dominant.

They were originally marketed as 'look like B-grade linebreds but are Het Super Snow' (more or less) and there was never any statements that they remain white (Supers do ).

So we can call these Mack Snows (Het Super Snows) even though they are not by definition a "Snow". Maybe just calling it a Mack would be less confusing.

The Super Snow is the true definition of Snow as far as im concerned and is the goal when working with this project . These are nothing more than Hets to produce that amazing morph. The Macks are pretty too though !

Dan, Thats an awesome jungle no matter what you call it! Love the Macks going to be interesting next season to see what happens with the Mack morph.

A Jungle Mack Huh?? Ver Very nice!!!!! There has got to be a way for me to afford one of those,,,,hmmm what can i sell that the wife wont notice is gone?????

Thanks guys !

Nick , your wife said she is nailing everything down . :raspberry

Unfortunately this is the first and only one so far . The odds have not been with me (50% ? pfffft LOL ) so if im lucky I will likely only hatch a few more of these this season . Need at least 1.2 and thats gonna be pushing it .

Going to have to do Mack X Stripe to make up for the short hand ive been dealt :>poke2<:
