In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I recently started keeping Boa's and have Purchased a Male Snow and a female Anery het Snow. The Moonglow looks and sounds very interesting but is still confusing me as to how to produce 1. If I already have a Male Snow what will my female need to have in order to pruduce a Moonglow. I also have 1. Albino poss het Snow, 1.1 Hypos, .1 Anery, .1 Anery het Snow, 1. Normal 100% het Albino poss het Snow.

Joseph.. A Moonglow is Albino x Anery x Hypo. A Snow is Albino x Anery. If your male is a Snow, you would need the Hypo gene. The cheapest way to do that is to purchase a hypo het Anery het Albino. Other ways is to involve snows, sunglows, etc.

Almost everything. Excellent info though. Thanx Ryan. It's quite a dizzying proposition, trying to understand all the possibilities. Male Snow to a Female Ghost. Will this make a moonglow?

The only way a female Ghost will produce Moonglows is for it to have the Albino gene. So in other words, if your Ghost is het Albino, then yes, it will create Moonglows. If it isnt het for Albino, then no. Hope this helps

snow x ghost= ghost het moonglows & anerys het snow.

You should not get any normals because it's the same thing as breeding anery x anery which would produce all anery babies. Half the babies would be hypo (and anery making them ghosts) and the other half NOT hypo (which, in this case, would be anery). The entire clutch would be het albino.

Does that help sort it out? Or does that help complicate matters more?? :D It took me a little while when I first started, but one day you'll go, "OH! I get it!" LOL

Good luck!

I'm almost there Matt. You and Dean have clarified things very well. I have a pair of ghosts het albino ( at what I paid for them, $750, I am rather skeptical) a snow and a few het snow's. And a couple years to wait.

Now if you breed those ghost het moonglows together (assuming your fears about your hets don't come true) you should get a moonglow or two in the litter AND they might be supers...from breeding hypo x hypo (ghosts are hypo and anery).

Good luck with them and just enjoy raising them to the point that you can breed them. Once you do that, what you produce will mean that much more to you!

Happy Herping!!
