I wanted to share these photos. It is my first breeding season and I am ecstatic. I am only working with 1 gene but the male is getting the job done.
Last January while I was setting up my collection I wanted to get a clown however I was not certain. I was looking on allot of sites and came across justin kobylka's website. He had a pair of Het Black Axanthics for sale so I called him and was I lucky he said they have only been up for 30 mins. I bought them really quick.
Well the female took a liking to food and is now at a 1800 grams. I had a hard time getting the male up to size and after some tricks and advice from you guys and youtube I got him to breed.
Needless to say there is allot of things that have not been created with the existing lines of axanthic. If all hold true and Black Axanthics do get blacker with age there really could be some nice contrast snakes in the future. As of this moment there are no other black axanthic morphs other than the base Black Axanthic. I know it will be a few years before I see a double gene visual but I am ecstatic to be on the edge of this morph. Well enough of me blabbering check out the breeding pics.
Het Blk Ax X Het Blk Ax
Spider Het OG X Het Blk Ax
Het Blk Ax X Normal
And if all goes well and I get a male visual this Killerbee will be for next season.
Thanks for looking. Good luck to the rest of you for this season.
