In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So this is where you all went...lol...

Hehe - thats pretty good Bill!!! Yeah, I thought about using my first post from the other place, as my first post here as well....

Wonder if anyone will remember it.... It went something like this.

" See, I told you Banana Blizzards were the result of a DH patternless/blizzard breeding".... :)

Yeah, hehe, I got slammed for that one... Especially when Justyn pointed out the cool fact that I had spoken to the sales manager at Prehistoric as opposed to Jay himself... :)

Hehe, yeppers, I'm glad the past is the past... :)

Nope, no hard feelings at all..... GRRRRRR!!!

Just messing..., but hey, what a time... :)

Welcome Bill!!

LOL, how about alfalpha (sp.) pellets as a substrate? Hehe some of us have tried everything!

I use that alfafa stuff for my leos! I love it

Sybella-

Yes I tried it once myself. I had my husband go out and get like 4 huge bags of it, then I took all the sand out of each box (I used sand back then), cleaned the box then put the pellets in. It took me a whole day to do this, and then a couple days later I started being paranoid about the pellets causing impaction if swallowed by a leo. So then I took all the alfalfa out and sent my husband out to retrieve many 50 pound bags of sand LOL, he was pretty perterbed at me that time!

I did like the way the room smelled when I had the pellets in there though! Mmmm... Ah, I think I'll just stick to paper towels for now!:)

oh man that would wreak havoc on my allergies.

I've been getting really pissed at watching a few of my leos lay in sand as opposed to the laybox lately and wondering about just filling a few tanks with peat moss.

I thought you knew Bill

One of us should have just emailed you.

Oh no! Steven...now that you said that, I'm going to have to check to see if alfalfa is on my allergy list. Something has been triggering me lately and I've had really bad allergy and asthma episodes. :(

overton

overton, have you tested out the alfalfa pellets yet?
so get a big dog kennel and get someone to lock you in it with an alfalfa substrae.......... if could double as s snack too
