In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So we have Sweating eggs, Bad Egg, Good Eggs what about the Furry Eggs?

Thought it would be helpful to show an example of a molding egg. Good example for an egg that had an embryo die in the early stages of incubation. Found the eggs a little late, didn’t expect one of my first time breeders to lay eggs a little less than 2 weeks in. They were fertile but dented in pretty bad when I found them, now kind of glow a muddy color with a light tint of green. (YUM)

If you have some pictures of furry eggs why not post them. (wish I could have gotten a better picture of the spores)

If you would have caught me two weeks ago I would have taken a picture of mold growing on an infertile egg for the group of pictures with all the other egg shots I took this week. I threw them out last week though... bummer.

That's a nice picture you got too, but you can't see the fuzzyness too much. It's unfortunate that you got mold on a fertile egg though... would have prefered to happen to an infertile egg though.

I was pretty sure these were infertile but I incubated them just in case and alas the mold. I always put my I think they are infertile in a seperte container and these are pretty fuzzy and now in the trash.

It actually wasnt furry/fuzzy more of growing spores first, looks weird.

LOL thats where they started. I would have rather them to have been infertile as well.

Ah, the variety of molding. Great pics guys. Anyone have a couple photos of some freshly laid infertile eggs? That would be helpful to some others as well.

Yeah those are pretty fuzzy alien like eggs lol

I pretty much knew they were infertile when they were laid (04/02) but I always give everthing a chance even if its a useless chance lol I check them every week on Sunday and they were a little funky Sunday but not that funky, I would not have checked them again til this Sunday and man would they have been overly funky.

Funny how fast mold grows on infertile eggs.

I have had it spring up on fertile eggs but a sprinkle of desenex takes care of that, I don't bother with the desenex anymore if I already knew they were a hopeless wish.

Excellent idea Kim… only if you had posted this a few days earlier. I just threw out a nice brown fuzzy infertile egg last night. If I get another one I’ll try to remember to take a pic and post it in this thread.

 Here's to hoping no one gets the chance to post fuzzy infertiles!

Ditto! I’ve had my share of infertile eggs this year so I’ll probably have a pic. LOL. Fertile eggs all the way…

Well, I said I’d probably have some pics and I do! Here is a clutch of eggs that are infertile and fuzzy. The killer about these eggs is they came from a snow. :bawling:
