    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

so who has tried dating sites and did they work?

i have used plenty of fish now for about 3 months and met a few girls.... but nothing serious. Just wondering if its worth it to pay money for match.com or is it not worth it?

Personally have never used one, but a couple years ago my dad married someone he met on eharmony. They seem very happy.

One of my ex's sister's met her now-husband on eharmony.com. I used to be a member of okcupid.com (free) but I never got the nerve up to go out with anyone and shortly deleted my account. :p

I met my new husband on Plenty of Fish a year and several months ago and my brother met his new wife on there as well about 9 months ago. My Dad has also met his new S.O on there about 5 months ago. Sites like that can be helpful but most of the paid ones are not really worth it. My brother was on several for about a year and a half before meeting his wife. He didn't meet many possibles up until his wife. My husband also was on various sites for more than a year before we started talking and didn't go on a date with anyone before me from any of the sites. Think it varies by your area but around here there are 10 guys to every 1 woman that is actually serious and wants more than to talk. Also seemed to depend on the age range as well. Just have patience, I guess is my point. Good luck!
