    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Kindly go to your 'user CP', then to your 'classified control panel'. Then please edit this thread by adding the prefix 'sold' and overwriting the price with the word 'sold'.

It is not your fault that people are apparently incapable of reading all the relevant information before pounding on the reply button, of course. If you alter the title, though, that might stop some people, and overwriting the price will make people dig a little deeper for information, and they might even dig deep enough to figure out that you have, in fact, already announced the sale of this animal.

Literally brand new to this forum and didn’t click the extremely tiny page number to search all the replies, OP should’ve marked it sold.

Helpful advice to a new user: It is in your interests to read all the relevant information before proceeding. Sometimes scammers get through the guardposts here, and helpful users point that out in replies. Sometimes the OP updates the ad with relevant information concerning the animal for sale, information that may affect your interest in purchasing. Also, the OP did state:

As a seller myself, I much prefer that potential buyers indicate their seriousness by, among other things, reading what I've posted before they try to get my attention.

And yes, you are entirely correct: the OP should help keep this place clean by updating his ads in the most helpful manner.
 
I put sold in the title. Pretty funny how many people won't read a thread to gather information, especially those interested in buying a particular animal.
