• In case most of you have not noticed, I made changes to the donation amounts as well as the durations for all of the paid membership levels. Things are winding down here, and this seems to be the most prudent way to deal with the "end of life" period of this site.

    Contributor level members - $10 per 30 days
    Sponsors - Eliminated
    Benefactor level members - $25 per 30 days
    Endowment level members - $50 per 30 days

    On July 1, 2027, all paid memberships will be closed.

    On August 1, 2027, FaunaClassifieds will be terminated.

    Only change I expect that might take place is when I can get around to figuring out when the amount of money I would have to refund for the yearly paid memberships becomes less than the monthly expense of leasing my server, THAT date might be the termination date for the site.

Please read everything.

The ultimate feeder insect, Black Soldier Fly Grubs (Hermetia illucens).....also sold by many other fancy names. Super high in calcium, 20 to 60 times more than crickets, supers, or mealworms and nature's cure for clostridium and pathogenic protozoa like coccidia. No refridgeration and they will last for weeks at room temperature when kept in their shipping medium.

These grubs are raised in my state of the art facility and fed only a grain diet. My own collection of 300+ leopard and crested geckos have been supplemented with these grubs almost from the day they were born and I have seen a huge difference in size and color when compared to other reptile breeder collections. I have clients in Texas that have been feeding soldier grubs to their reptiles for more than 40+ years and can't remember the last time one of their reptiles got sick or had a parasite.

Please specify whether you wish to receive the larger dark colored grubs, which are excellent for beardies and monitors who don't care about a whole lot of movement, OR the younger creme colored ones that move around non stop most of the time.

Nutritional comparison: http://bamboozoo.weebly.com/the-feeders.html

18g = 150+ grubs for 10.00 shipped
36g = 300+ grubs for 18.00 shipped
60g = 500+ grubs for 27.00 shipped
90g = 750+ grubs for 36.00 shipped
120g = 1000+ grubs for 42.00 shipped
240g = 2000+ grubs for 75.00 shipped
600g = 5000+ grubs for 160.00 shipped

Cultures are exploding....now is the time to put some weight back on this past season's breeders and to start priming for the start of a new season coming up. Order 2k or more and I will cut you a sweet deal. Thanks

I have 1 or 2 lots of 5000+ grubs that I will let go for 149.00 shipped.....get a bunch of friends together and save a huge amount off retail.

how long do the "Larger sized: right before turning black" larva last in the jar before turning in to adult Flies?

If they have not turned black yet then they are nowhere near pupating and subsequently turning into flies......so, while they are in their creme colored phase they can last for weeks without food or water. If they are in their dark phase they can still hold off pupating for many weeks.....once they pupate and turn into hard fat footballs it will take 2 weeks for them to emerge into a completely harmless fly who's only purpose is to mate, lay eggs, and then die all within about 13 days.

i have seen photos of the flies, there insanely scary looking to me, i know they can fly and was told they cant hurt,bite or sting..this is true?... how do you ship?

The adults only live for about 13 days.....they have no mouth parts so their only purpose is to find a mate, breed, lay eggs, and die.........100% harmless. I ship USPS Priority in a 100% escape proof container that is also tamper resistent.

These soldier grubs are AWESOME. Not one of my leos (about 16 of them) turned them down. They first grabbed them and spit them out, but then they went back and gobbled them up. I only ordered 100 for the first time, got a mixture of black and creme color grubs, doesn't matter, my leos eat all of them.

Even better news, no more stinky cricket bins, no more mealworms in the fridge (which if you have a significant other that doesn't like that, then this is awesome). I will be ordering a much larger batch come this Friday. Oh, and I might add it was super fast shipping also! Made it here in two days (including a Sunday!!!).

LOL......the babies are good at spitting them out 3 or 4 times and the grubs just keeping moving so the babies just keep striking at them and finally swallow them down....I find if you rinse the grubs off really well before feeding off the geckos usually will just swallow the first time.

got my package today didn't look promising as i open it up, but once i took the napkins out the cup was full of worms, gotta say there not the prettiest feeders but they work, Good numbers and HUGE worms, i have ordered some from other sites....none were bigger then these phoenix worms, very fat,wiggling, and ugly lol worms! thank you!
