    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

How do they check if it's a fraud or not? Do they have like a special machine to run it through or something? Or are they usually just obvious to the people (i.e. police) that have seem frauds before? Here's the response I gave to the last one and the pm she just sent in response to that.

This whole thing sounds a little strange.But If they are willing to send a Postal money order, Common sense would dictate you would go to the post office to check if its real or bogus and if its real they will cash it right there up to 700$ or if its not real your out nothing JMO
 
I thought the post office bumped the max to $1000. last year...
Anyway, I would go through with the transaction. Print out you emails, accept the P.O.$order and have your post office run the serial # on it. Take all of your documentation with you; including the envelope with the return address the names of the 'cousin' and exporter this person plans to use.
The post office can tell you right away if its a fraud and if so, let the government take it from there.

Yep, already ahead of you. Have everything copied already and most printed out, just incase;) I'm also making sure I post all the responses here cuz my computer sometimes just dies and I loose EVERYTHING on it (very irratating) so at least there will still be copies on here. I pmes her last night and agreed to accept a postal money order and asked which state her "cousin" and shipper live in. She replied with this.

You may be right, I guess it depends on the post office, Mine is in a 1 horse town and they only do 700$ But that wasnt the point :) The point was They can check to see if its real or bogus, so if it bogus your not out anything but time JMO
 
It is a Scam. There is absoluetly no doubt in my mind at all. Here is a list of the scammers that have approached me. I have 9 Counterfeit Cashiers Checks (varying in quality) form some of them as well. They are listed by the name that they use (along with any aliases), e-mail address, location that their IP address places them at, and their IP address. It looks as some of these guys are routing their e-mails through multiple IP addresses. I am not sure how this is done, but this is what some of them appear to be able to do. In these situations it is really hard to get an actual fix as to their actual location. I wish I was better with a computer...
