In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Southeastern Exotics

I apologize to Southeastern Exotics. I do not know who I bought him from, just where I bought him from, so I looked at Repticon's website and the table I did buy him from was registered to Southeastern Exotics. The "blairicorns" that you see do look similar but the colors as well as the head pattern and colors look much more like red milks. The size as well points to it being a red milk.

Did you contact Southwestern Exotics before creating this thread? I feel a lot of time and reputation may have been saved if you tried working this out with them first. While the snake's species identity remains in the air, you did falsely accuse a reputable seller.

I am going to chime in here and say I see a hybrid. I have seen and owned red milks, Grey bands and corns. I see plenty of corn influence in that snake. If you ignore the head it could pass for a Miami corn.

I have also owned many Red Milks from Kansas, and that is NOT a red milksnake.. 100% sure. The thin neck gives it away that is part cornsnake. Red milks have a fat neck like all kingsnakes do.

The original poster has made a mistake in thinking that he purchased this snake from Southeastern Exotics.

We do not currently and have never in the past kept any corn snakes.

We have never kept or sold any corn snakes due to the fact that we are from GA. In GA, you are not allowed to keep anything that is non venomous native to the State of Ga. That includes corns snakes and any variation of corn snakes. We had been licensed by the Department of Agriculture in GA for 8 years and they do regular, spontaneous inspections and we wouldn't keep anything that would get us in trouble like having a corn snake would.

We moved to NC last Summer and still do not keep corn snakes or variations of.

Anyone that is familiar with us can confirm that.

Thanks.

I know Lee & Susan personally & have never seen corns/milks/kings on their table at show. We talk about snakes occasionally & these colubrids are not the subject.

The OP has done several things wrong here:
One - assuming that a vendor was one who sold the snake to them based on a layout on a website that could possibly be out dated.
Two - the biggest error, not contacting Southeastern Exotics first before posting. If the OP had contacted them, it would have been revealed that Southeastern had not sold them the snake.

Agreed.

Or also:
One - went to a show, SAW the snake, SAW the color, SAW the pattern and still bought the snake. She could SEE the snake looks very similar to a red milk even before she decided to purchase it, yet did so.

Two - failed to question genetics prior to purchase, or get documentation of genetics or even a receipt indicating who she actually purchased the snake from.

Three - researching AFTER making her purchase, questioning genetics and legality AFTER her purchase and then falsely accusing a vendor/business of misrepresentation and/or fraud and/or violating state laws.

As for what it is ... I vote hybrid.

No, what I have actually done is been mistaken by pictures that look ridiculously similar to my snake, posted an INQUIRY asking for help with identification, apologized when I myself was given incorrect information and reiterated what everyone else was saying. So once again, I'm sorry, and you can all stop jumping down my throat whenever you want. Don't beat a dead horse.

You are still in the wrong for not contacting Southeastern BEFORE posting a thread on the BOI.

if you have general questions about your snake, please use the discussion forums in the future.
What you did is start an inquiry thread on the business "Southeastern Exotics" and claimed they sold you a mislabeled snake.

I understand you are newer to the site, so please realize BOI threads are 'serious business' so it's important to ensure you're making claims against the correct vendor/person.
anyways, good luck with your snake, it's beautiful!

Thank you, I'm actually very pleased with how he looks, which is why I bought him. I'll keep all this in mind next time.
