    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Here's some screencaps from his morph market classifieds. This is only a fraction of the neglected geckos he's selling.

Deplorable to see how skinny the geckos are. And that they are being sold like that?? Unbelievable. I would stay far away from that seller.

I don't know a thing about geckos, but I recently purchased a baby ball python from Brian and was very satisfied. Very healthy and friendly animal; sold as an aggressive feeder and definitely is one.

So, starving and emaciated geckos are acceptable as long as you got a snake that met your expectations? You're supporting an animal abuser even if you don't purchase a gecko specifically.

They probably purchased the snake before they read the boi thread. Especially since he and his father changed the name of their business a few months ago. That's what happened to me

That is correct. I purchased the snake over a month ago at a show. I don't recall seeing any geckos there, although honestly I wasn't looking for them so perhaps they were there. I was merely stating my personal experience with the seller in question.

The complete lack of concern did make it seem that you didn't care, even if you personally had an animal that appears in good health. I'd be upset if I saw that someone I purchased from was abusing animals, even if the one I got was okay,or after my purchase.

Of course I'm upset. I am having a lot of trouble reconciling this new information with the seemingly honest and caring young man with whom I spoke and from whom I purchased, and with the condition of my animal. It's very disheartening. Has Burnett been informed of this thread? I'd really like to hear what he has to say for himself. Because this is very bad.

I looked and didn't find it then about two months later this thread popped up and I didn't find the other thread until this one. After reading the other one about a morph scam I asked for the parents and seller said "I didn't produce that snake I got her from a friend". This means he is a possible flipper but that could be legit and I never inquired more. He said he could get me the parents soon and has yet to give me a pic about a month later. I was thinking about doing a morph check just to be sure (it looks like the right morph but there are many people that know wayyy more than me about snakes) but she is just about ready to shed. At least the sex is right but if he was abusing animals that is horrible and I will not support more in the future

It totally didn't even click until just now, but this kid is the son of Derrick Burnett who runs DNK Reptiles and is a part owner of the Clarksville reptile show and Cincinnati reptile show.....pretty sure he just gets his animals from his dad (who is a good guy and generally doesn't have junk).

I've seen Brian at local shows in KY/Indiana for the better part of a decade since he was a little kid and this is quite disappointing.

OMG! When I first saw the post I thought it was a Mediterranean Gecko. If you can't afford to feed them you shouldn't keep them.

After I posted a link to this thread on a local Facebook group, Brian messaged me and attempted to justify his neglect and the sale of animals in such poor conditions. I felt it only appropriate that I post them here (since the whole truth isn't being told, according to him).

To clarify, myself and my girlfriend Katie vended a show this summer in Sheperdsville KY opposite Brian. He did purchase a colony of lobster roaches from me. I did not purchase anything from him nor did I see the level of neglected geckos for sale on his table at that time. He mostly had adults from what I recall.
