    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Starting a breeding coloney and need help

I was thinking of starting a Blaptica dubia coloney and was hoping for some advice and houseing them so i dont have excapees and feeding them. The Wife is against it because they are roaches. lol thanks
 
Go with lobsters they are heartier IMPO and breed much quicker.


I use a (whopping!) 10 gallon tank with two undertank heaters and vaseline around the lip (the roaches wont cross it). Add about 100-200 lobster roaches... feed lots of greens, fruit, and dogfood blended with oatmeal (blend in a blender). I have literally thousands of roaches in my colony.

Couldnt be easier.

Then I use shallow stainless steal dog bowls 4 feeding. When the roaches are dusted in calcium it makes it virtually impossible for them to climb out of the SS dishes. The roaches are easy pickinz for your dragons. :dgrin:
