In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well, as of this morning, I have 5 perfect first sheds. :D I am trying to wait till they all shed so I can do one photo shoot and be done with it. The first one to shed has eaten a F/T pink rat already, the others have declined for the moment. Hopefully by this weekend, more sheds, and more eating.

For now though, I woke up this morning to a putrid stench! I know it is a cadaver type smell, but I cannot locate it at all. I've looked everywhere. No dead rats, no dead snakes, no regurges, nothing. Driving Me nuts!! LOL I hope I find it, because this is really an unpleasant smell. Unless a cat or something crawled under the trailor to die, I just can't find it in My home.

I'll try for some pics this weekend. They are much cleaner looking than the birthing pics I posted.

I hate coming home to that smell...fortunately, I notice it sooner than my wife does, so I usually find the offending item and get it out. Unfortunately, the act of doing so enables it to permeate the house.

I'm glad that the babies are starting to shed and eat!!

And don't ya just hate it when the "smell thing" happens, I've almost passed out from hyper ventelating try to find where that "smell" is coming from.

I still can't get used to seeing my name change!! I swear it's really me..LOL

Glad to hear the babies are eating and growing well. :)

Laura, the Fapiano looks good on ya.

Well, I found the offensive smell (well My dog did anyway). I guess a pink dropped out of the napkin the other day, and fell between the rack and some boxes. Hard to believe such a small animal can permiate the whole house enough that you are instantly aware of it when you first wake up. LOL

Gonna try some more feed attempts tonight. Hopefully more than one will eat. I just hate to throw the pinks away after they refuse them. But concidering the "possibility" of making them sick if one goes bad, and you reuse it....... :ack2: I guess that's just how it goes.

Hopefully they will all cooperate and shed, so I can get some pics this week end. Would be nice to clean, snap some pics, and be done with them all in one fell swoop.

Rick

Rick, I could not get any of my babies to eat pinks, even live one's. I threw some fuzzies in and it was like they hit a buffet. Made a huge difference.

I was gonna mention that, too. I usually start baby boas on pink rats. Pinkies (mouse) are meant for things like baby spotted pythons and colubrids. Even baby carpets usually prefer bigger stuff than that.

In his post it says "F/T pinky rat", so I think you are both on the same page. :)

Awwwww...glad they're doing so well, looking forward to seeing more pics of the darlins.... :)

Yeah, I have no pink mice, only rats, and now bunnys. LOL
Another shed yesturday. That's six now. Out of those 6, 2 have eaten, and one of those 2 ate twice. (the first to shed.)
But the alertness level is going up when I go to mist them, (not them, the towel) they are looking and flicking, and one bit Me, so soon I think they will all have full bellies. Still deciding on the bad one that's left. Want to see what happenes after shed, but will most likely give it up for cultures. But i gotta see the eye after it sheds. Too many questions. LOL

Thanks for the support everyone. I hope they do well also. Though I am not counting this as MY first litter, it is Aurora's so I would like for them to fair well. I think I have one I am keeping for sure. :D We'll see when I get some new pics.

I'll try scenting them with pups next time.
