I am mad at how some people do silly pranks, thinking it will be funny. We have a big nature park and I was walking with my daughter and our dog Tuesday, we were way in the back , when we were going around a curve and I fell into a hole (( the hole had been dug and covered with branches and leaves to appear to be part of the path) I broke my ankle ; I had know way of contacting anyone so I had to walk another mile or so to get out, my little girl is only 6 but she was trying to help. By the time I got back home it was so swollen I knew they would not be able to tell anything. We also have a autistic son who would be upset if I left that night because he stays on a routine, so I choose to ice it and wait for school the next day to go to the e.r. ( also my husband is a policeofficer who works nights)
At the er I was told it was broken in two places and also severaly sprained I was sent to my orthopedic surgeon on Thursday ( I broke this foot eleven years ago) I will now be in a cast for several weeks, then a walking boot to a air ankle splint then to a regular brace for several months, I am looking at having something on this anke for a year, I just recovered from neck fusion surgery ggrrrrrrrrrr,
Anyway I called the park rangers and was told that they have had some other holes being dug by Teenagers as pranks thinking it is funny watching people fall, no one has had very serious injuries yet until now. He thinks they know who is doing it but cannot prove it. I JUST HOPE this kids are happy with themselfs they have cost me money, time not to mention pain. I am very mad at this point especially after talking to the park rangers about it and they can't catch them because it is such a big park. jUst had to let steam off. thanks for listening Dana
