• Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Steps To Become Fedex Certified!!!

Think I figured it out. I never received a confirmation email, ever. I tried a new account but who knows if I will get a confirmation email this time. Wish me luck.

Hate to be a pain, but when setting up accounts (I've done 2 now) I don't get an account number. It just says N/A whenever I ask it to list my account number. I have everything ready to go except the account, which should be the simplest part of the ordeal. Ideas?

my package was approved! Yay! on monday i am going to call my rep to get my other paperwork. I am going to be a certified reptile shipper thru Fedex. ( it's almost like a secret society)

i just started the proccess of becoming certified today . hopefully all goes well . thanks to all that have posted here as it has made things much easier having this thread to refrense back to .

aparently fedex is still charging 20 bucks on your credit card to open a "free" account . can someone please let me know how i can get my money back from them ?

They will reverse the charge on your CC - I think it took about a week for mine to be reveresed.

Do you include the heat pack along with the test package? I have the form filled out and am waiting for my rep to call me back. If I send this package out soon do you think I will be certified in time to move on May 9th? Thanks!

could someone please post a link to the form i need to print and fill out to have my shipping box tested . i tried the link on the first post in this thread , but it seems that fedex has changed thier website since this thread was first started . i have looked all through fedex's site and cant find it anywhere . thanks in advance .

Ok, I messed up. I chose personal to personal. Is there a way to go and change that or do I need to create a new account for Business to Business?

Has anyone else had trouble getting a rep to contact you? I went ahead and sent off my test package before I spoke with a rep. It's been approved and now I just need the paperwork from my rep. I've left 2 messages at the main FedEx number and haven't been contacted yet. I know this may have been addressed somewhere else in the topic, but I'm on dial-up at home and can't browse all 43 pages. Is there another number or something I can try? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Todd

OK, so I feel like a real moron now. The test package results I got had my reps name on it all along. I focused on the pass/fail part and completely missed it. I got in touch with him and he's overnighting me the paperwork. He's already set up a couple of other people, so he's familiar with the process. Still have to sign and return the paperwork, but seems like the process is going to be pretty painless. It will be nice to ship with the blessing of the company, rather than the don't ask/don't tell method we've been using for years.

I recently got certified and it was really quick and easy. The paper work was basically saying that there is no way you can blame us for anything. It took me about 2 weeks to do the whole process.

Where do you drop off the shipment?

Do you have to go to the airport or can you drop it off at any FEDEX office? I live a long ways from the airport so it is a big pain to go all the way there.

For a few extra bucks they will pick up the package at your door. Other than that you want to find a staffed customer center (or whatever they call it).

Thanks

For a few extra bucks, it's worth it. I'll spend more than that on gas. The airport is 50 miles round trip for me.
