In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Steps To Become Fedex Certified!!!

I got a message back from FedEx this morning-- aparently they have a new, updated test package form that you can submit online as well as attaching to your box. It's here:
http://www.fedex.com/us/services/packageshipment/packageservices/

Any way for the first post to be updated with that link? It'd probably be helpful for those who don't want to read through 40 pages of posts before going through their own certification. :)

I got that email this morning as well. Did you recently send out a test package?

Thanks! You too. :) I have someone interested in buying some critters but they won't make a decision until I have the ability to ship... so the sooner the better.

personally i am not happy with fedex shipping . they wont ship to my town in 95912. it has taken two weeks after my purchase of a snake to have it shipped to a legit location FOR fedex. i am having to drive to a fedex kinkos location to pick it up instead of it being dropped off at my house. i never had issues like this with ups. ups made us suffer for them not training their employees right.. i just want my snake to arrive saftly. i wish this issue with locations had not happened

I'm afraid it's against the reptile certification policy to ship to a residential address. Home businesses evidently do not count...It goes off of zoning.

oh well thank you. currently i do not ship since all my snakes are still babies and i have one breeder normal male about one year old. it was also my first time ever getting a reptile shipped to me througgh fedex. now i understand why they wouldnt ship to any residential area i listed. now im just happy the shipping is going smoothly and im hoping my little male orange ghost gets here soon and saftly. thank you again for helping me understand

Yep. They got a weird way of seeing things. Even sent them a link proving it was a business address. :shrug01: I often wonder if it's because of that extra fee they would be losing.

I could get rezoned residential/business (we're legally a two unit), but I think it'd be more hassle then it's worth. :shrug01: I don't have issues with my local Staples & Postal Plus accepting my packages, so I just drop off there. I honestly didn't know that it went off of zoning, so I imagine I have violated my FedEx contract on more then one occasion. :ack2:

ummmm arent they loosing money by refusing residential shipping? It cost more for residential shipping vs commercial

Keep in mind that your waivers do NOT cover residential shipping. Although the package will usually be passed through and delivered, it is NOT covered by your signed agreement with FedEx.

I am getting so frustrating.. It's been 2 weeks and a day since my package was tested and approved and I still haven't received the waiver. Is there someone further up the chain at FedEx I could contact? Each time I call to have my account rep contact me, I find myself speaking to someone entirely new and usually without a clue what I'm talking about. I've been redirected twice to the live animal desk and another time told to call the 800 number on my package results and that call went to a very confused gentleman in Memphis. The first two reps I spoke with seemed to know exactly what I was doing and were very helpful. Now that I'm passed the test package phase, I'm hitting a brick wall.

Help?

Do you have the names of the reps you spoke to that were very helpful? If so, you can ask for them to call you back. That's what I did, clung to that rep who knew what was going on and was most helpful.

I received notification that my packaging passed on 5/27, and didn't receive my waiver to sign via email until 6/16 so a little bit of a wait isn't anything I'd freak over just yet. But I'd definitely call and try to get hold of the people who helped you before to make sure you haven't slipped through any cracks.

I *think* that the name of the first rep I spoke with was Candace Green? She was very helpful and told me she had just helped someone else who was going through the same process earlier that day.

Is there anyone specifically I need to ask for after calling the number you listed?
