In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have an enclosure I built out of a 50 gallon Rubbermaid that I use when I'm rehabbing Box Turtles. I like the size, but you can't really see in them. I saw the Sterilite version at Wal-Mart a while back and knew immediately what I was going to do. Well I spent this week hashing out the details and working on them. The finished (well mostly, few cosmetic tweaks to make)...

What do you think? It was pretty cheap and easy to do. From start to finish only takes a few hours (at most, I kept getting interrupted) to build with a minimum of tools/materials. Going to start switching my ball pythons, adult corns, and some smaller boas to these.

those came out awesome man! just did that with out the front part for my baby gator, until i can get a 125g tank

What did that cost you start to finish?
I'm needing to build two 50+ gallon enclosures for my new boa breeders.

I'm eager to find out how much this costs start to finish.
I really like how it looks.
I'm thinking about stealing your idea!
It's perfect.

Poor boas!!!!!

Care to explain your statement a bit more? I honestly don't see anything wrong with this setup for the boas. Plenty of space, climbing substrate, nice and bright... certainly more vertical space than most boas get in standard reptile racks. It's fine if you don't like the setup, but at least explain your position instead of making unsubstantiated negative comments like that.

I'm assuming that's plexiglass in the front? I just used a couple of these tubs to start a small rat colony and I like the look.

Agreed. Some sort of explanation would be great other than such a general statement.
Also, I love the look too.
I like this better than my rack to be honest.
It would give my animals more room to move around and it just looks great to the eye.

If I were to use these my snakes could be on display more as well.
I'm excited to find out how much this costs.

a 50 gallon tub is too small for a single bci boa adult. 100 gallon tub would work for one boa.

Then I'll go with this design on 4 100 gallon containers.
All I need to know is his material list and I'll be set.

Maybe I could build it to where all 4 stacked and went up the wall.
Hmm. Idk.

Could use some input on building them though.

Eh, they are doing great. I clean them every other day.
I actually have grown attached to some of them and those now live in a cage in my room.
Who would have thought a snake guy would have pet rats :p

cleaning every other day sounds nuts and expensive to me.

follow the link to directions on how to build very nice boa cages and a good rrat rack.

I recommend seeking out a tractor supply store to source the rat tubs over home depot or lowes.
