In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Steve Clark of [email protected] OFF!

Paypal already put a freeze on his account, and tried to withdraw the balance he owes me from his bank account. Not to my surprise, he had NOTHING in his account or pay-pal balance. I think he is running another paypal account under "[email protected]" and most likely, not under his own name. [email protected] has been frozen by paypal.

Scott

Scott,

I just checked and he does in fact have another paypal account under that e-mail address. You should call and inform paypal of that as well. Attached is a screen shot of the account information.

What you guys might not have noticed is that both his PayPal accounts are UNVERIFIED.... which means there is NO WAY of getting your money back through PayPal....

I would suggest you call your credit card company and file a "Chargeback" with him.... if it was Visa or MC, there is a VERY GOOD chance that you will get your money back if he can't prove he sent you anything....

Good luck....

Neil

Thanks for retreiving that Rob,

It proved my point that he had to of started a new paypal account to keep going with his "business."

I don't know if his [email protected] was verified or not.
He claimed to have over 200 transactions on that account. You would think he would have to be verified to make that many transactions, wouldn't he?

I am going to take action ASAP

Scott

Scott,

Neither of the accounts (which are actually the same account I believe) are verified and that makes it impossible to retrieve the funds back from them through paypal. You will need to do a chargeback with your credit card company on the transaction. Also neither of the account showed those kind of transactions as a matter of fact I don't they showed any transaction that were completed as it takes 30 days after a transaction to be complete before it will show up on the reputation of the seller.

I said I am wiling to work with you, but I will not do so until my
conditions are met. They are the only way I can go about correcting
anything...

WOW !!!!
I am IMPRESSED !!!!!
Is that how business is done these days?

hey everyone, please send me your money through paypal
I PROMISE that you will get it back.......sometime after i spend it.......but only after my conditions are met.

If he has nothing in paypal......how does he expect to "make this right" ?
If there was money in there I can sorta understand. but he has nothing.
You lift your complaint. he says scr3w you , like he already has. Then you call paypal and say you made a mistake about lifting the complaint......then you look like a fool.

IT IS YOUR MONEY.
I can sorta see waiting 3-5 days if it has to be transeffered from other accounts.
But to take MONTHS.
and now after three months he is all of a sudden willing to work with you?
why work with you?
where did YOUR money go?

you can bet your bottom dollar i will not deal with turts and torts.
well I wont buy anything from him unless he ships first.

Since he only recently signed up with Paypal, I think we can assume he is a newbie to the business. With antics like these he may end up having the shortest career in reptiles in history

money back... or more?

i'd be so aggrivated by now that i'd be trying to get more than just your 700 dollars back. atleast sue and get a couple hundred dollars more and make up for all of the time you've spent trying to get your money back. this shouldn't have taken 3 months. it should have been a matter of days and after that it's more than just a misunderstanding. it's a scam like you all have said. hope you atleast get your money back asap... maybe a little more to compensate for your time and grief.

Turtsand...

Torts. They should probably consider modifying their name taking into consideration the legal definition of tort:

tort ( P ) Pronunciation Key (tôrt)
n. Law
Damage, injury, or a wrongful act done willfully, negligently, or in circumstances involving strict liability, but not involving breach of contract, for which a civil suit can be brought.

..........

that is pretty darn funny.... this guy is no brain surgeon. file with your Credit Card company now!!!

VENOMOUS CLASSIFIEDS ????

I do not know this individual but found this interesting....Steve Clark has a list posted in the classified venomous reptiles section of Kingsnake.com. He has quite a list of venomous snakes which he wishes to purchase....my point is, be quick with the actions necessary to obtain the money that is owed. If he is not extremely well versed in handling snakes such as King Cobras and other Elapids, something tragic could occur....then , you will be unable to receive anything except an obituary !!!!:D

Slime

This guy now has an ad in the Kingsnake classifieds that is titled "VENOMOID LIST - Devenomised previously deadly snakes for sale! Rhinos, cobras, rattlers - harmless!"

He goes on to say that the snakes are completely harmless because they've had a ductonomy
...It's a ductectomy, genious. (A ductonomy is the study of ducts).
You would think that someone who deals in venomoids would atleast know what the surgery they are illegally performing is called.

His ad also contains photos of him allowing a cobra to bite his foot and his hand next to a northern pacific rattlesnake with two puncture wounds in it.
...doesn't it seem like this aspect of the hobby attracts some of the biggest morons and sleaze?

This character is a complete tool. Look at the way he abuses those snakes on the venomous classifieds. I mean to show a Monacle biting yourself is going to far. I wish the whole venomoid thing would be banned. I mean hell, you go on the K.snake classifieds and all you see is venomoid adds. Too bad Barringer only see's the $$$ signs. Thats why all this crap is allowed to be up for sale. Hey Steve....grow a sack and actually deal in some real snakes buddy. Well, since your probably not competent enough to keep real hots, try Ribbon snakes. How ignorant are you for putting bite wounds of yourself up on the net.

he is either stupid or bold.........I am going with stupid!

Bitis nasicornis is a great species! Large size, but not python big, and at the same time a great display piece. Rhinos are a lot like gaboon vipers, and their care is similar. They have even been known to cross breed in captivity!

VENOMOID = NO VENOM! AKA HARMLESS!

These little guys were born in 2003 in the united states after being bred in the united states! Not fresh imports! They have all handled the surgury very well, and this is my introductory price! These snakes have undergone a procedure known as a "ductonomy" in which the venom is not able to flow down the venom duct, as the venom duct has been surgically removed. The snake is the rendered harmless from a venom viewpoint. Remember, gaboons (a close relative to the rhinos) have 2 inch fangs, and they will not feel good even without the venom!

See all photos above for the rhinos, an exapmle of a cobra I have sold, and my personal pet (a venomoid rattler). I can get anything almost, email me if you have specific needs.

$450 shipped
$800 a pair shipped

thanks,
Steve Clark

Buyer is responsible for checking all local and state laws and ordinances...sales to those over the age of 18! I am willing to deliver these snakes to the Hamburg show (late April) if prepaid in full, and I will otherwise ship them for the prices listed above! Venomoids make great pets, and are exactally as well off as their "hot" counterparts as their prey is always prekilled. In many events venomoids have outlived their hot counterparts by years! The litigation of the venom sack will not harm the snakes digestion! Care is the exact same as a hot snake. Hooks are reccomended if handling is needed. I have several for sale also, contact me.

THIS IS HIS AD ON K.S

The funniest thing about his add for the Venomoid Rhino Viper is that, the picture he has showing the snake, isnt even his. It belongs to Jeremy at Exotic Gems. The same picture is on Jeremy's site.

Hmmm he'll be at Hamburg in April. Anybody want me to pay a visit for them to him? ;)

It sure is...good catch. I emailed Jeremy to let him know.
I'm sure that the reason he doesn't use his own photos is because his butchered rhino vipers probably have huge scars and sunken craters on the sides of their head. (if they even exist at all).
He is so convinced that his snakes are harmless, he had the rhino viper ad on the Kingsnake.com colubrids section until Kingsnake moved it to the venomous section.

Yeah the Rhino he has pictured is a Ugandan locale, much more colorful than the typical W.A. Rhino. I bet he has some fresh imported W.A. Rhino, all hacked up with dry sheds that hasn't fed. It makes me sick to see that "completely harmless" BS with voids. I wish it would be outlawed or at least give the them their own classifieds to stop associating with us hot keepers.
