    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I contacted Steve Doss about making two cages for me and while everything was fine initially before the sale, it has went downhill pretty fast. He said they could be picked up at the Evansville show Feb 21 then they weren't done (despite having my money for 3 weeks at that point) and he didn't even go so we agreed on Indianapolis the following Sunday. Apparently there was a mess up with him canceling the special cuts because I told him to just give me the medium as a last resort. My question has been if the plastic company has a 10 day wait on special cuts and he had my money for THREE WEEKS why did he wait last minute to put the order in? Currently he has not responded to any of my emails and am now disputing the charges. Below are the conversations over email. I have blacked out my friends name, as well as my street address on the receipt. Everything else was screen capped from my Gmail app on my phone as is. I just want some type of correspondence and a refund or my cages. I'm tired of being ignored.

Sorry to hear that. I hope he makes it right but don't wait too long to file the chargeback, you can always pay him again if he comes through. Lots of great cage builders out there that will take good care of you if he doesn't come through.

Seems like a lot of back and forth with what size you'll take and him trying to accommodate. Also the weather issue isn't exactly his fault. I would have turned around too.
 
And in my email I addressed the sizing and the miscommunication and the fact I assumed he had the regular size in stock, not tat he was going to cancel my initial size and reorder a size he gave me as an alternative just so I could pick up at the show. I don't feel there is any excuse for over a month of no communication. The cages should be done and ready to ship out. There's no confusion as to what I'm expecting to receive product wise.
 
I filed a dispute with my bank Monday and am supposed to be contacted by a representative within 10 days she said. I hope I can get my money back.
 
There does seem to be a bit of "back & forth" re. the cage sizes. This wouldn't confuse everyone but some people could get confused. I understand that this was mostly due to S. Doss not receiving the special cut pieces that he, allegedly, ordered (allegedly, more than once it seems).

The lack of communication, for the month of March, is inexcusable.

Best of luck with the dispute. Hopefully, you get your money returned to you.
 
Well the last 2 posts with emails must have been posted in the time it took me to read everything and reply, I did not see those 2 where it appears he ignored her. I thought she was done posting emails when I replied.
 
Just an update, I have received a credit from my bank but have yet to hear anything back from Mr Doss. I consider the issue resolved, but no thanks to the seller.
