In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was in dire need of some hatchling cornsnakes and Steve emailed me. We agreed on a price and i sent money via paypal. I recieved them today and everything turned out great. Steve, you saved a 750.00 snake.

Thank You

Stephen ROCKs in the herp business. He is definately one of the good guys in this business. He helped me out after a fire I had in my herp room, and I will not forget him for that. I think we both got hooked on herps from the East Bay Vivarium that is near where both of us are from.

I would not hesitate to do business with him, and recommend that ALL of you check out his animals! <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

The only thing I have to say to him is-GO CHARGERS!

My opinion on him, and his business..A+++

Dito to the posts above! Steve is super to deal with. He has both purchased from me and traded me critters. The snakes that he sent me were excellent quality and the monies that he has sent me were always here right away. Evan Stahl

steve is terrific..i got an awesome pastel boa from him..drop dead gorgeous!
he is professional l..no worries with steve...whatever you need go for it!

I have not yet done business with Steve Emerick, but I am acquainted with him through shows.  He has nice-looking, healthy-appearing animals and is knowledgeable about what he sells.  I would do business with him.

I'll echo what everyone else has said about Steve. He is indeed more than just a "good guy".  I have a pair of womas in my snake room that were purchased from Steve, and am greatly looking forward to buying from him again. The snakes were honestly represented (I don't think you can get more honest than Steve  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> ), and were perfect in every way. They were shipped with great care, and his customer service skills are outstanding.

I will have to add to the great guy post .I didnt even know Steve and he contacted me and really helped me out with a problem! I hope to do business with him in the future.

I'll have to add to this, I met steve at a local show, and have since run into him at others, and East Bay Vivarium. He's a great guy. when I was looking at his animals he was very honest about them, and incredibly friendly when I've pestered him with questions. I would reccomend him to anyone.

Beating a dead horse...

As all the others,

I also must say Steve is an awesome person to do business with and get questions answered from!

I purchased two emerald tree boas from him last year at a show, and he was more than helpful and friendly...picked them up at his location later on; his setup and animals are scrupiously cared for, he really does his best to provide all they need for safety and health!

I would never hesitate to do business with him again, and I always make it a point to scope out his tables at the shows "just because"!

what are those last two snakes?

The third one is what is sometimes called a Rhino Ratsnake, not sure of scientific name. The second one is one of the asia Ratsnakes, depending on the ssp. known as Bamboo Ratsnakes, among others.
You can probably find info about them from Napa Valley Snakes' website, since that is apparently where he bought them.

Wow, took my own advise and checked out their website. They have quite an awesome collection. Don't know where I've been, but never really paid attention. I go to Napa Valley several times a year, to visit my daughter's who live in ST Helena with the EX.
Guess I've had my head in the sand. To bad I can't get anything when I visit over Thanksgiving and Christmas, but gotta use the funds for Christmas. After seeing the website and these references, I'll be budgeting for something from them next year, that's for sure.

Sorry, IDs on the snakes......
1st is a Kunasir Island Japanese Rat snake (Elaphe climacophora).
2nd is a Thai Red Bamboo Rat snake or Red Mountain Rat snake (Elaphe porphyracea coxi)
3rd is a Vietnamese Long-nosed Rat snake (Rhynchopis boulengeri) a.k.a. Rhyno rat snake.

And as far as Steve's selection and pricing- I've been very pleased with the quality and variety of his snakes. If you're into snakes, he's got quite a wide range to choose from so definitely keep checking his available page if you're looking for something. He's also answered all of my questions by e-mail prior to purchase- so the communication is A+.

p.s. I'm a she;).

 Whoops, Sorry. I know not to assume, because I've been around these forums long enough to know there's probably as many she's as he's that post. Just wasn't paying attention.
And yes he (wait I better check,:D ) is definetly on my buy list for next season.

Isn't the Rhino ratsnake also called Barron's racer (Phylodrias baroni). There is an article on them on the last issue of Reptiles. They are original from Argentina and rear-fanged.

Regards.

My bad!

After checking them at Steven page I noticed it's a different species. They are very similar looking though.

Regards.

They look similar, but are not the same. The nose on the Rhyno has more like an offshoot (for lack of better way to describe) looking nose, like the Male Twig Snake from Madagascar, whereas the Barron's nose just seems to be a larger/pointier than normal nose, at least the pictures I've seen. I've seen the Rhyno in person. Am I making any sense :shrug01: hard to explain. Anyway, as you noted one is from Argentina, and the Rhyno Ratsnake or Vietnamese Long-nosed Ratsnake hails from SE Asia-Vietnam. It is a different Genus.
By the way what issue and page is that article in? I glanced in my January issue (the Ball Python Morphs issue) and couldn't find it. I guess I'll have to check more thouroughly when I log off.

I've got to quit trying to read multiple threads and answer at the same time, took me like half an hour to finally post, meanwhile you already answered yourself :lol01:
