    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well i decided to purchase some lights off of him from this thread and given his trader rating i really expected quicker contact.

As you can see he recently seems to be ignoring his thread.

After discussing price i decided to buy all the lights minus the exoterra tank

This is the last pm i have gotten from him, sence then i have emailed him, and sent multiple pms to him asking him for a tracking number or even if he has shipped it out yet. I saw him online viewing his private messages a few days ago, but he still did not give me a responce. He was online this morning. Even threatening to post a negative BOI has had no effect, so hopefully this actually being posted with get something resolved.

So what gives steve where are my lights that i paid for? Why are you not returning contact? Its been almost a week and you seem to still be ignoring me, it would have taken 5 seconds to say "it shipped" in a pm to me or something. I would really like to actually use the lights rather than filing a dispute with paypal. But id rather have my money back than nothing which is what you have given me the past week.

Not sure what's going on here but I have to say you're pretty intense over a $15 bunch of used lights. You started with an attitude when he didn't respond to your sales inquiry right away.
I know that the amount isn't important. I seriously doubt Steve is going to shaft you on the merchandise or money.
 
The amount is irrelevant, he could have at least given me the courtesy of returning one of my pms, it has been almost a week sence he has received payment, all of those posts on his thread were requesting contact after i sent him payment.

Where am i going with this? I like most people would want the items that i pay for.

What would you do if you paid for something then nothing... The amount does not matter, its the principle.
 
Steve is a stand-up guy. i got a ball python from him that was flawless...Ever consider he could be going thru a hard time or have a family emergency...Obviously something has come up in his life that he hasnt responded. Its only been a week..
 
He has been on this site multiple times from the time payment was sent to him. I am perfectly understanding if there were an emergency, but he has not made any kind of contact at all.

I have even initiated, paid for, and recieved another purchase off of fauna, which is why im a bit upset that i have not gotten any form of contact, and he has been online several times.

If there is an emergency just send me a return pm saying something. I maybe relatively new to fauna, but i have been dealing at hardforums for the past 4-5 years, and im always punctual about contacting buyers interested in my products even if i have an emergency, when its dealing with someone elses money you need to. Usually on that forum by the time this happens, your already scammed.
 
I'm not taking sides here, and there may be more to this then meets the eye. I don't think it's too much to ask for conformation, or acknowledge that payment has been received. I also believe that there is nothing wrong with asking for an estimated time as to when the items will be shipped. Those things can be sent to a buyer in just a matter of minutes. So now we need to see what Steve has to say about all of this.

I also think you jumped a little soon on this one Miles. The date the payment cleared was on a Suday. That's not even giving him a week to get the package together and shipped. I know Steve works a full time job, has a family, and a collection to care for.
 
I had sent him multiple pms, and threatened to post this thread if i did not hear back from him, i was going to post it yesterday but gave him an extra day to give me some form of responce.

Reguardless of what he has going on, he has been on this site many times since receiving payment and has not contacted me once replying to one of many pm's. Payment was sent on the 24th, Its been one week since i have paid him, i think anyone would deserve some kind of contact within a week of payment.

Im not making accusations, im simply put this thread here to be the means to an end, because honestly PM's and emails were not working with him, and he has been to this site atleast two times since his last contact with me.

If he were to have been offline from the last time he pm'd me that would be a different story, but who logs into a forum, sees they have pm's and does not respond at all...

All i want to know is whats going on? And ive been ignored to the point, where I as a customer feel this thread is necessary to get something i should have gotten to begin with, contact from my seller...

I dont think it's jumping the gun at all. Once a seller has a customers money they should totally be on top of the transaction and be in communication with the buyer

It doesnt matter what they have going on in their personal/professional lives.

If he has "something" going on that is delaying the completion of the deal then he should let the buyer know.

I find this pretty much unacceptable

I agree 100%,if u decide to sell something it is your obligation to make the sale and receipt of the item prompt and hassle free to the buyer .
 
I hope he wouldn't ruin his reptuation on this. I can assure you something bad probably happened, if someone with this stature on a site isn't replying for 35 dollars. I would wait it out, make a paypal calim if your that worried.
 
Steve ha , always trying to pin ppl in corners in threads and hold them to every word and demand things be done perfectly . All this guy has is PROBLEMS all over the BOI and all over threads , as far back as i can remember.
 
He was on this morning, and i know he is getting emails out the ass, and i know he has checked his thread, because it says sold in his title.
 
If I got all those messages from you like that I would send your money back and tell you to get bent but I really do appreciate you posting this thread.
 
In all honesty Im not sure what to say on this... Ive always thought of Steve as a Stand up guy in the reptile community And $35.00 IMHO wouldn't be worth jepordizing my reputation
I really dont want to say to much as I've (we've) only heard one side and to make a opinion before hearing both sides Isn't something I want to do...
I do however agree with Kevin (Ameivaboy) in post 11 in this thread

Actually I should clarify this statement as our discussion would not have reached this point. I would have told you that they were no longer available after your first "You still have not replied to my post or pm regarding your stuff to 97470 " post. But again, I do appreciate your making this thread.
 
What a nice guy.....I am at work right now so I will deal with this later but for now, your stuff was shipped and you should have gotten the automatic notice from Fed Ex like I did. i have not been on here checking PMs. An email (like Harald just sent me) would have solved all of this. I will post the tracking number when I get home so everyone can see the stuff (Along with all the extras I included for you) has gone out.
