    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I agree with Deb. Never depend on FedEx to send that email. I always follow up with an email including the shipping info just to make doubly sure they got it. If they did get the email from FedEx, it's just a few seconds more of their time. If they didn't, it saves some headache for all of us. Cover your butt. With both hands.

I agree that communication could've been better, but I don't think it deserved a bad guy thread at all.

Enough already. The point has been made that people disagree with the title - belaboring that point will not help change the title...arguing about it will only lead to infractions.
I think both parties see that they could - if not should - have done a couple things differently.

Now the OP shouldnt have made this a bad guy thread- but what's done is done. People make mistakes just as SPJ made a mistake of not following up with his customer.

hopefully SPJ will personally let his customers know in the future that their package has been shipped.

Hopefully the OP knows this should have been an info thread, instead of a bad guy one.

I dont see why this thread should continue any further unless there's an issue once the OP receives his items.

That thread is a short, but interesting read in which the op shows her true colors. I was taught as a child that when you hear a story, "consider the source". I don't know Steve, but I would do business with him anytime.
 
For starters if you would even look at my profile, you would discover that my name is Miles, and i am a Man. So you can stop referring to me as a "she" that thread was after multiple smart-alick type responses that could have been handled inside of pm were not. I don't even see how that thread is relevant to this subject.

It would be nice if you guys would pay attention to what I have said and to what the mods have said about this. This issue is dead, all you people are doing is perpetuating a thread that you say is bad form to even be here. You posting in the thread trying to make different accusations about how this thread shouldnt even be here is the reason is still alive and kicking.

Telling me to shut up in an online thread? Nice true colours. And again YOU perpetuate the thread. You are neither the buying or selling party, you have no grounds to continue the thread. The subject is dead.

The above karma that you just left me shows your true colors. Please keep it up, you are only doing yourself in. I do not have to be the buying or selling party. You brought this to the BOI, but you do not get to declare the subject dead. Live with it...
 
Errr.... Miles, A thread doesn't die simply because you say it's dead (heck, I have a hard time with THAT trick). Just about any post you make at this point will spur another comment; so, if you want it to stop, you have to take the first steps.
I know that you've apologized to Steve, so I suggest that you turn off your email notifications, gather up some will power, and let it go. When your stuff arrives, make a post to that effect, then don't look back.


(That is, of course, simply a suggestion)

You seem to be the one with an attention deficit. One mod said something about belaboring the title. We are not doing this so have adhered to his wishes.

BOI threads, one started, can and should contain relevant info. The way you spoke to posters on the thread I linked when you started a classified with unusual payment methods is definitely relevant to showing who you are.

The people here are experienced and knowledgeable. You cannot lead them around like Kinder children and tell them when to speak and when to be silent. That you would try says a lot about you.

Are you kidding me... I have personally come down on someone on the BOI with a much better Rep than Steve. I look at what is posted and make up my own mind. It has been proven that folks will stellar reps can go bad... therefore I look at everthing that has been posted to come to a conclusion.

Like I said before.... Steve dropped the ball on communication (even though he thought it was covered)

and you jumped the gun in posting. I had a guy that owed me $120 for 10 months and I just started an INFO thread because I felt that maybe he was going thru the hard times that he claimed. Good guy and bad guy is not the only options.... and you have to weigh what you post here... because it is here to stay.

I am not belaboring the title as Harald requested but the other thread I referenced and people's general opinions are still relevant. If Harald needs to spank for those, he can just come on over ;)
