    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Over 10 years ago I bought an Anery Redtail Boa from Steve Raymond (zooman). The snake was awesome, however, my problem was that I prepaid shipping and then Steve sent it collect. I did not want to leave the snake so I paid it and then called Steve and he said he would pay me back. He never did. Several phone calls and nothing....


UNTIL......recently.


Steve found a Bad Guy thread here on the BOI that I had posted in and he contacted me about the mistake from over 10 years ago. I did not contact him nor did I even know he was back in business since I rarely frequent Fauna due to not owning a single reptile anymore. Nevertheless, he wanted to do "whatever it would take" to make things better. I was amazed! Here is a guy trying to refund my money over 10 years after the incident. And he did!!! Although I was not happy with the original transaction (snake was awesome, double shipping...not so much) Steve did make it up and then some!

When all is said and done, I would have to say he has some great business practices and if I were to get back in the trade, I would not hesitate to do business with him. A+

Steve is a great guy, I've bought multiple animals from him as well as sold him multiple animals and every transaction has gone through flawlessly.

I myself have had situations where I've charged shipping and then had to change couriers (FedEx to delta cargo) and forgotten to reimburse ship. Common mistake easily corrected. Steve is a great guy.
