This is a repost from the old board:
I'm sorry but this may be long, I want to try to tell you the whole story, email me for more info if you'd like.
Here is our Experience (starting on 01/04 ending 01/14) with:
Steven Zuppa, Reptile Breeders International. (possible aka Roscoe Click) 1050 Mabryridge Morehead, Ky 40351. (606)738-9631 [email protected] .
Steven called us and wanted to do a trade with us. My husband, Kevin, wasn't to comfortable with how Steven wanted to do the trade but I said it would probably be alright (BIG MISTAKE!!<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='
'>. Anyway, we agreed on the trade. We were both suppose to ship on the same day. I called Steven to get the tracking # and then we shipped him. I checked the tracking # online with UPS and it wasn't in the data base yet. So I called Steven back and he told me that his driver doesn't scan the packages until he gets back to the hub (mine scans as soon as he picks it up). Steven told me to check back with UPS in a few hours, the package was picked up from him at 5pm on the 4th. So I checked the next day with UPS and it still was not in the data base, but the pk arrived around noon. It was shipped in a cricket box with NO insulation(he used stiro popcorn), a USED heat pack that was rusted, an invoice that wasn't even ours, the animals were ICE COLD. Not everything was there. I then called Steven AGAIN and he told me that some guy that worked for him, Roscoe Click, was the one that packed it and that he had 2 boxes but the UPS driver only took the one, so he would ship the other out on the 7th. We said no problem. He then called back to tell us that some of the animals we sent we dead on arrival and the pk was cold. We shipped a box WITH stiro insulation, newspaper, and a 40 hr heat pack. We told him we would take care of it as soon as we received the rest of our animals AND pictures of the dead animals.
I called Steven on the 7th to get the tracking #, it was an AirBorne Express one this time. So I called AB to check on it and they had it in the data base BUT it was being sent to Va. and on to Fla. They had NO shipment was coming from Steven's zip code to ours. So again I call Steven, he had ANOTHER wonderful story to tell. I got off the phone with him and told my husband what he had said. Kevin called Steven back within 5 min. Steven proceeded to tell Kevin that the pk was redelivered to him 10 mins ago because the label fell off (how can it be returned w/out a label?). After MANY calls to Steven and all his wonderful excuses, he tells us that he was shipping it AB for Saturday(the 12th) delivery (not guaranteed). It didn't arrive Saturday, I called AB and they said there was NO address on it just our zip code. We FINALLY got that worked out. AB said we wouldn't have it until Monday the 14th, we told them what was in it, they were NOT happy because their policy is NO LIVE ANIMALS. We asked them to open the box and check on them. They told us that the animals didn't look good and were VERY cold, AGAIN, NO insulation, in a thin cardboard box, and a heat pack that was almost cold, after 3 days of course. (Uromastyx, geckos and a turtle). They told us that they could NOT deliver it to us because they were live animals, so Kevin had to drive for an hour to their hub to get it(oh what fun we have had.........NOT). We finally have most of our animals, still $180 short, but we know we won't get the rest so the deal IS FINISHED!! We NEVER got the pictures he said he took of the supposedly dead animals that arrived to him.
Anyway, that was our experience with Mr. Zuppa. We would NOT recommend anyone doing business with him and either do ANY of the references he gave. (unless you get CASH up front or YOUR animals FIRST). All the names he gave as ref., I called and the ones that did know him said STAY AWAY FROM HIM, HE'S NO GOOD, the nicest thing the other refs said was, they never heard of him.
I have gone on long enough, If you care to hear more, contact us and we will tell the rest that wasn't posted.
God Bless
