    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Thought this would be a good idea for a post after reading the one about what to name a snake that the person didn't have yet.
I posted some of my snake names, as did a couple of other people, along with a quick blurb about why that particular reptile got the name it had.
I thought it would be interesting to have others post stories on certain reptiles of theirs and how they came about naming them what they did.
Oh, not you Jaime (th3jok3r)--I'm sure most of us have figured out that you watch too much porn.... :rofl: (ok, 'too much' is subjective, I know...).
If you check into "The Bite Club" periodically (page 8 on my computer), I related a story of 'Jungle Jane' (for her look) and how her name was changed to 'Bad Girl' (for her attitude...)

But this short story is on how one of my others got her name:
One of my favorite balls is "Tagger." A sub-adult I recently got. Let me say that I have purchased 16 of these gals from the same person (to date) and they've all been great. Get her home with the five others I got at that time and I'm getting them settled in. Everything is going smoothly. Get to this one little girl who is just lying in the bin I brought her home in, she doesn't have a care in the world. She's one of the last two in the bin. I reach in, pick her up to put her in her new home so I can leave her (& the others) alone for a week or so and let them settle in & de-stress from the trip. She's fine...until I put her down. No sooner had I set her on the newspaper and barely took my hand off her than she tags me! Wellllll, let's just say that's probably the fastest I've ever come up with a name for a snake!

BERNIE

I have an adult male bp that was rescued by someone else & I ended up with him as a bonus. Apparently, the original owners used heat rocks and the poor little guy has 3-4 burn scars on him.
When I got him, he was totally healed and a very nice snake. I don't use him for breeding, but he is my dispos-all.
I'm thinking of changing the spelling of his name from Bernie to Burnie...

I have 45+ snakes...I can go through ALL of them and tell you how each one of them got their names...I know I'm not the only one with interesting stories regarding pet names...
