    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

strange behavior or not ??..

:shrug01: So my Cali king finally ate for me, after a 1 month fast,(small rat,then a week later another). With the last feed,it was a bit different.I did'nt see her out side her warm hide all week,but decided to offer a rat anyway.She poked her head out just long enough to snatch it from me.
Yesterday afternoon,one day after she ate,she was out of her warm hide and soaking in her water dish.WEIRD ?,,then I checked on her at 8:30pm,,she had shed,,but was back in the water dish.This morning I turn the light on and she is still in the water dish,like she spent the night in it :eek:
What is going on ?,something,nothing?

One of the first thing I would verify is if mites are present, soaking in the waterbowl would be a classic reaction to an infestation. If none are present, then perhaps the temps are somewhat on the high side? What are your temps and how are you regulating them?

Well, my temps are always in a good range, warm hide runs 85-88,cool hide 75-80.
She did go back into her warm hide,,so I dont know what she is up to.
What do the mites look like,color, size ?, I did look close at her,but i could'nt see anything on her.Her colors are nice and bright after her shed,so I would think I could see them on her.
I am going to chalk it up to just another strange snake "thing" :rolleyes:

I wouldn't chalk it up as anything yet. Your temps seem to fall in the normal range. Mites are small black parasites. Look in the water bowl for them. If the snake just shed, there won't be as many on the snake. But if allowed to remain in there, they will be back on the snake in no time. Mites are no fun when they get in your collection. Especially if you have multiple enclosures. Just trying to help. I hope it is just "weird" behavior and not mites.
