I did my usual cricket run today and walked past all the snake cages in the local pet store as I usually do. I never pay too much attention to what they have because for the most part its hypo hondurans, albino corns, veiled chameleons, normal ball pythons blah blah. Today however I walked past a tank with some boas in it, and one actually made me stop and do a double take. I am assuming they were all central american, typically coloration, head pattern, and tail pattern but these guy looked very different. Here are some pics, let me know what you guys think, Im kind of baffled by it. He is on hold for a week for me so any of you MDers tough luck. Anyway let me know if I am excited for nothing. The thing that caught my eye were those orange stripes

Looks sorta Motley-ish to me too. Hard to say. I've had a few Nics, and although some similarities are present, I never seen one with that reddish dorsal lateral stripe before.

It appears to be something left over from a Sonoran litter.
Probably cheap enough to warrant the purchase,

Go For IT !

I saw this snake in person today! These pictures do not do justice. It doesnt just have the two stripes, its got faint ones on both sides also. Great find ryan!

Looks like a normal Nicaraguan to me. Not motley-ish unless you consider circlebacks to be motley-ish. Connected laterals are also common in Nics.

Im SO Happy you got that snake dude!!!!

Its turned out to be, so far, such a GORGEOUS critter!!!!! ^_^ arent ya glad you asked the fauna crew??? haha, i bet you would have bought it anyway!!!!

That double stripe is crazy. I remember this thread from a while ago, that is some crazy stuff. Try to support that! Nice!

That is a way cool looking snake, those lines look like railroad tracks or something!! If you are able to reproduce those tracks in some babies you can call them locomotive centrals or loco centrals or something!!LOL

All that orange and the double lines of that are HOT! And from a pet store too, that's some good luck!

You make babies who looks like that, hit me up. I've got an '09 RB I haven't found a worthy mate for.
