In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I own a dark chocklate chihuahua very cute and very smart the tricks he knows are sit, stay, come, lay down, dance, high five, bang, rollover, shake, wave, and he can close cabnets (because doors are to heavy for him)I live in las vegas nevada and will breed to pure bred or non pure bred dogs he is also trained in agility if you are interested in breeding with him please contact me at [email protected] thank you

You really should not be breeding to just anybody!! By breeding to pure breeds and non-pure breeds is considered backyard breeding. People breed to better the breed, not to make money!

Not to offend you, but in my opinion, you are just helping the population of unwanted pets grow, and as I volunteer in a No Kill Shelter here in New Jersey, I see very often what happens to unwanted dogs, and for every dog we adopt out, we get 5 more in!! I'm sure you dog is extremely smart...but has he been genetically tested? How can you improve the breed?

Good breeders think of these things!!

do not tell me off about breeding dogs I just want one of my dogs puppies because he is such a good dog I am not even trying to make money and as soon as I get a cute chihuahua pup I will nuture him and if I dont get someone to breed with I will anyway. I know half my dog breeds and like I said I do not need to foolishly told off by someone who works in a animal shelter and cares about getting more animals which will probably end up in an animal rescue anyway, in exchange for installing satilite tv's and fiber glass. Just to let you know I dont believe any animal is worth that and definitly not a kinkajou. If you want to contact me you can at [email protected] but I would rather you not because you are not worth the time thank you for your pointless comments,
kristi

First of all, if you want to talk **** and defend yourself as a BACKYARD BREEDER, do it in public! Not in a private message! Second..sorry if I do not breed animals to make money, so no, I cannot afford 2000 dollars to buy a kinkajou, but yes, I would trade something for one!!! It is already born and not for breeding purposes. I would adopt one from a shelter, but shelters dont have them...!!! I volunteer at a NO KILL shelter, and I help to run a small animal rescue...that does not mean I cannot own pets of my own!!! Atleast I am not trying to pimp out my dog because I think he is Smart!!

And you my dear, are a backyard breeder! It does not matter how smart your dog is....you dont breed a dog because it is smart! Unless you are trying to better the breed, leave the breeding to the PRO's, who breed for a good cause ....

You want to breed for the wrong reasons....maybe you should go volunteer in a shelter, then you would see the problems people like you cause!! I am entitled to my opinion, and I am allow to express it! I dont really care how you feel about it!!! Don't start talking trash with me because I expressed my opinion!!! Just like you are entitled to yous. And did I say anything nasty to offend you? NO! Neuter your dog!! Unless you are going to pay to get the genetic testings done...and he comes from a champion blood line...there is no reason for you to breed!!!

So, if you have any other rude comments to come back at me with, keep them to yourself since all you did was talk trash!! You have no real reason to breed your dog except you think he's smart! There are millions of dogs on the planet that are smart!!! That does not mean they should all be reproducing!!!

ok............?

Not to get into your guys argument or anything, but Daniel, it was none of your business why Kristi wanted to breed her dog. She could have wanted to breed her dog for any reason, good or bad, but that was no reason for you to go off the deep end. Anyway, it is not a human's right to get an animal fixed, because us humans are overpopulated ourselves, so why should we take it into our own hands to worry about other animals populations if we can't control our own? It is nice that you feel bad for the animals who can't find homes, but that is no reason to cut their reproductive organs out. It would be better to just keep them from the opposite genders of their breed, so when we think we "need more around" we won't have the problem of no reproductive animals. Getting back on topic, it is Kristi's full right to breed her dog without getting bombarded by so called "animal lovers", wether you like it or not. It is people like you who like to stir up other people's **** just because you have nothing better to do. I just thought i would put in my 2 cents.

That may be true, but animals have an instinct to produce, for the most part that is their goal in life to reporduce and spread their genes. As far as having them for pet purposes, if you have an animal that is not fixed, even if kept away from the opposite sex and not allowed to breed it can cause a lot of stress...imagine if you were never allowed to breed (especially for guys!). Neutered male dogs are less apt to develop prostate cancer, and the risk of testicular cancers is eliminated. Up to 60% of older, intact dogs will get enlarged, painful prostates, is that really fair to your dog? In the wild dogs don't live as long as they live for in captivity with their average lifespan being from 2-6 years old, so they never reach a truly "senior" classification, they will die before any of this happens to them. In captivity, they stay alive longer and have the possiblity to suffer in pain. Another thing (not for male dogs) but pyometra can be potentially fatal for unfixed female dogs and cats that are not bred and go into heat cycles go to http://www.marvistavet.com/html/body_pyometra.html to read up on it, I think that most breeders of cats or dogs know about this, however a lot of inexperience breeders or people who aren't breeders but don't fix their animals because they think it's wrong or they just don't think it's necessary don't know about this. They're still animals and their organs are made to work and they still have the instinct to do so, if they don't they can establish physical and mental problems from being deprived. I'm not saying what's right and what's wrong, but I believe that whether you make the decision to get an animal fixed or not should be an educated one to benefit the animal, not just because you think it's wrong. I'm sure your animal would like it if you thought about it's health first before thinking about your own personal opinions or morals. There are plenty of "smart" dogs out there, in fact aren't all dogs smart? I'm sure that out there somewhere there is a little chihuahua puppy that needs a home and is as smart as can be, why not adopt that one instead of producing your own especially since it's rare to only have 1 in the litter, and then you'll have to worry about finding good forever homes for the other ones. One more concern I have, being a breeder I know that some are sold for pets, some for breeders and some for show/breeder. A responsible breeder would not sell a pet quality for a breeder to anyone and would make sure that a spay/neuter contract was signed prior to any registration papers being handed out. If someone has a purebred dog they want to breed and no registration papers, it could be a breach of contract from the original breeder (they didn't get their dog fixed and so they never got the papers sent to them), if anyone was going to breed with her dog I would ask for the original breeder and contact them to make sure that she is not breaching any contract because if it was ever to be found out both people involved could be in a lot of legal trouble. Good breeders do this to better the breed, not to be stingy, unfortunately a lot of "bad" dogs have been born, hence your 15lb chihuahuas, and you 100lb golden retrievers.

Yeah, I guess i can see where you are coming from, but I just didn't like how Daniel jumped the gun. Thanks for putting an educated opinion on here.

Abby

I do NOT agree that you should NOT get your pet fixed. Come on. If they where in the wild they would have population control by other animals, food supply and such would control the size of the litters. A dog will breed in the street, but that is not as often as PEOPLE breeding dogs and then finding out they don't want them. This is a HUMAN doing (no matter if it is accidentual or intentional) this, the animal suffers as few know how much it costs to have a pregnant female, deliver the pups etc. If the female has problems few seek help. As far as human over population that is a totally different matter. To me I don't care if the first poster breeds her pet. I would HOPE they would want to make sure they had some kind of contract that the puppies found good homes (or if they don't care they could end up as snake food). What I DO care about is when the unwanted dog get abused, starved, or worse than that totally ignored and live a life of pure He!!. I am sure they would not want their smart, cute, wonderful pet to be kicked around or hurt, so I would think they would make sure none of his offspring would be treated that way also.

I don't like it when people get on other people either, owning a pet is a privilege, not a right people need to respect them. But I like to think of what's best for the animals, not what's best for us. I do not believe that animals should be there for us to make a "quick buck" off of them, the decision to breed an animal should be a carefully thought out one and it's always good to contact breeders in case something goes wrong, especially for the bitches during pregnancy. I don't care if she breeds her chihuahua, as long as she knows what she's doing for the animals' sake and as long as whoever's breeding to her chihuahua is also informed. -Emily
