This is an amazing 1.1 Subadult pair of Crocodile tegus that we are making available. This is an incredibly rare species of lizard that is rarely offered for sale in the US. The smaller animal in the pictures is the female and the larger is the male. Crocodile Tegus are a semiaquatic species of lizard that is kept very similarly to Shinisaurus, although croc tegus prefer temps that are a bit warmer than Shinisaurus. We keep our basking spots around 90-95*F and the ambient temperature of the enclosure gets down to 80*F. These are skittish when being handled and they can drop their tail, so care should be taken when handling them. But, we believe that if they are consistently worked with and built trust with, they could become very easy to work with. This is a great opportunity for someone to establish their own breeding pair of Croc tegus for future breeding, display or just as an incredibly unique pet pair. This pair is probably 1 year off from being able to breed.
