    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Not sure if anyone else is having a problem or not, but I quit getting Boa forum new thread notices quite some time ago. I pop in, and there's lots of new threads, but I never got a notice for them.

I checked, and I am currently subscribed to the forum, with instant notification. I tried unsubscribing, and resubscribing, but nothing changed.

Something wrong? Was a change made or something? Just curious why it's not working properly, and passing it along, or if it was something done deliberately.

Thanks for any info.

You may want to check to see if your ISP is blocking emails from this site. It is not at all unusual for spam blockers to get overly ambitious and go a little bit TOO far with the blocking.
 
I'll look into that, but I doubt that's it. I do get reply notices, I just don't get them for new threads like I always have in the past.

Here's what happened. I clicked the forum tools tab while viewing the forum main page. I selected "subscribe to forum", and I've gotten a notice every time a new thread was created, ever since. Some time back though, maybe 6 months ago, I noticed they (the notices) quit coming, although there was new threads created.

If I respond to one of these new threads, I will get a reply notice if one is made, I just never get the notice of the initial thread creation like I used to.

Not really a big deal, just more like letting you know, something changed, maybe purposefully, maybe not. :shrug01:

Any Ideas?
