In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

From a Sulfur Mojave male purchased last year from David Reid to a nice big Pastel female. Think that I hit 2 Sulfur Pastel Mojaves??, a few Sulfur Pastels??, a few Sulfur Mojaves, maybe 1 Pastel Mojave and 1 Pastel and 1 Sulfur. no normals! Woo Hoo! Pics are the clutch and one of the Sulfur Mojave breeding a normal Mojave for comparison. Because of his color and history, I'm also beginning to believe he is a Sulfur Ghost Mojave. I'll try and prove it out next year. That's another project. Thanks for looking.

Sulfur Mojave

Are you the same Jeremy Hall who purchased the Sulfur Mojave female from me at the Daytona Expo?
Breaking Balls , that's why I'm suspicious, as I've produced a few Sulfur Mojaves and none of them look as bleached out or as silver as dad. David Reid purchased the original female from a pet store where at the same time he also bought a snake that he dubbed the Ember and if I'm not mistaking the Ember proved to also be Het Hypo? Maybe David will correct me if I'm wrong.I would love to see others pics of adult Fire Mojaves or adult Sulfur Mojaves just to compare. I have last years babies that are around 600 grams and they aren't the same.

Given the hypo Fire pics and snakes I've seen, I agree that's a Hypo Fire Mojo. I also agree with what you think you have. Congrats that's a smoking clutch and hot breeders

Sulfur

Jeremy, again, nice to have met you and I just saw that you've been a member on Fauna since 2004? You're an old timer here! I wish you the best of luck with that girl, I love my Sulfur Mojave girl from last year. If the male proves to be Hypo next year I will definitely contact you. I only have one Ghost female and she was bred to a Pied this year, next year, I'll use the Sulfur Mojave. I also have a few of his daughters that have a long shot at being up to size late next year. I'll keep you posted. Dale

She's smoking but yeah, she's definately not a Hypo Sulfur Mojave :) The story goes that I bought her as a Fire Mojave but she's actually a Sulfur Mojave. The guy I bought her from doesn't really post on the internet. He had lost my phone number but purchased the mother to my snake and found out she was actually a Sulfur. He contacted me and let me know recently. I don't care Fire/Sulfur Mojave whatever, she's smoking. I have eggs to cut this week from her bred to a Pastel Yellow Belly.

Sulfur vs Fire

Thanks for posting her picture as I have not seen another adult Sulfur Mojave. It helps. It has been proven that Sulfur and Fire are basically the same, however, have you seen the Super Sulfurs that David Reid produced? Loads of yellow down almost the entire dorsal area, I'll take that any day over an all white snake, and I have a few of those also. So in my opinion, your Sulfur Mojave is an upgrade over the Fire version for that reason alone.

Thanks Dale! I'm glad I could help out and show that gorgeous girl off :) I really like the Super Sulfur for that reason alone. The extra pattern is really nice and I agree that it is nicer than an all white snake. However, I tend to like the cleaner combos the Fire's make other than the Super. On the plus side, I already have a Fire het Hypo girl in my collection so adding Sulfur is just a bonus :D Good luck again and congrats on your male. That's a breeding powerhouse right there.

Regards,

B

Dale,
Nice clutch, congrats. The pastel sulfur mojaves get even better with age. I was just talking with Dave the other day and he mentioned your male. I don't think he's a hypo. As they get older they fade more and more and he's one of the oldest sulfur mojaves. I wouldn't doubt if he proved to be het hypo though. I've seen a lot of variation in the sulfur mojaves and my assumption has always been the nicer ones carry the hypo gene since the original male(sire to your male) was 50% het hypo.

I somehow got a super sulfur this year from a spider sulfur mojave pos het hypo x hypo breeding. No way she has sulfur in her as she hatched out the same year as the first sulfur mojaves.

My opinion on the whole sulfur/fire thing is that they're different morphs on the same allele, like Mojaves, mystics, lessers, etc.

B,
Those pics don't really resemble an adult sulfur mojave to me. The blushing is there but the color is off. How old is she? Got any pictures of her under different lighting?

Sulfur Mojave

Thanks Eric for replying, I know from talking with David that you have a lot of experience with the Sulfur gene. I just posted pics of the Sulfur Pastel Mojaves on another thread in this section of the forum, do those first two in the picture look like the triple to you? Also could you post or email me pics of the Sulfur Pastel Mojaves that you've made? Debating on what to keep from this clutch and your pics would be a big help. Thanks , Dale

My Pastel Sulfur Mojaves are that same blushed out look, but have more of that striped sulfur mojave look. The only Internet I have is my phone and I'm not sure how to get the photos from my phone to here. Email me at [email protected] and I'll send some pics of the male I just hatched and a female that'll breed this year.

I've been trying to hatch out a hypo sulfur mojo for a while now but keep missing. I have a couple more chances this year. I can say I've never hatched a sulfur mojave that's as nice as a hypo mojave and I expect the hypo sulfur mojo to be nicer then a hypo mojave. I have a female from a het hypo sulfur mojave x hypo breeding that is a much cleaner yellow then I normally see but not as faded as I'd expect the hypo sulfur mojo to be.

That's her when she was a bit smaller next to a normal Mojave. The colors are correct at least on my calibrated Plasma. I don't know how they come across on computer monitors.

I have a clutch off her bred to a Pastel Yellow Belly that I just cut. Some wild stuff going on in those eggs. I'll be posting results and pics as they emerge and shed. It looks like I have at least a couple double genes and a couple triples. Maybe more? I don't know. We shall see when they come out. I don't hack the eggs up so I have a very small slit to look into.

Regards,

B
