In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Suncoastreptiles.com Horrible!!!

I believe it was stated earlier in this thread that shipping was through FedEx. It also stated he was using a standard FedEx Box. They are generally used for small items and documents and, I believe there is a "flat rate" up to a certain weight limit.

Needless to say, this is a pathetic way to ship a live reptile. No insulation and Standard Overnight as opposed to Priority. This idiot needs to have his ass soundly kicked out of the industry
Indeed. I didn't realize that FedEx had such a service. I thought that "flat rate" was limited to those cardboard document envelopes.

I have more to add but I still dont have my pictures to post. I will get them up as soon as I can.

Okay, so he backed out of the refund. He said some very nasty words to me in an email (which I will post later too). I now have all five ball pythons still in my possession. All doing great except one which is improving. Heres the deal...I order 5 FEMALE ball pythons. As of 8/16...I have 3 females and 2 males. So I got the short end of the stick. I went ahead and had them sexed since I didnt like how things were going...and it ended up he didnt know what he was talking about.

I was very discusted at the way these animals were shipping and at what time they arrived.

And just to point out...his website is no longer working...

I'm sorry I don't have anything on topic to add, but I have seen this statement quite a few times on this board and it really irks me.

"I'm most likely way off base..but you almost have to be skeptical of anyone from florida without well known name."

Now I have lived In Florida all my life,I have never scammed, ripped off,or done someone dirty, ever. I plan on starting a small business of my own in the next year or so and good chances are it will be based in Florida. How can I possibly start off and get business with an unknow name(cause no one knows my name) with people saying stuff like this about Florida. Granted their may be some scumbags here but dont generalize and profile sellers just because they are stuck in this state. I just felt I had to say something as I have never heard anyone say anything about others in other states. When you start seeing me selling my boas I hope that someone isnt going to go well Mr. Andrew right there is from Florida, nice snakes but I cant trust people from Florida. Puhleeze!

How nice of Dan to lump everyone in the state of Florida in the same group as this scammer. Not everyone starts out w/ a "well known name". I'm sure he didnt either.

Somehow I doubt you'd take that particular stance if you lived anywhere BUT florida. What looks to you and your's in florida like baseless discrimation looks alot more like prudent planning to me and mine up here in Pa.

"Not everyone starts out w/ a "well known name". I'm sure he didnt either."

But if it makes you feel any better..I still don't have Any name at all. "Well known" or otherwise. So no one listens to me anyway.

NOT true at all, it wouldn't matter where I lived.
Just because there may be "scammers" screwing people from Texas, does mean I would not consider doing business with "no name" breeders there.

I will say that when I consider doing business with breeders that I don't know I am very cautious.

I guess it all comes down to how much of a risk each one of us is willing to take. And apparently we all have different criteria for determining just how much of a risk each separate transaction is. Having known several people that were screwed by various incarnations of raysreptilia, I don't think my skepticism of Fl is misplaced. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

So...... because you know several people who were screwed by ONLY ONE PERSON, you are skeptical of doing business w/ anyone from the whole state of Florida :slamit:

What would happen if this Ray guy moved to a state to where you have had good experiences w/ breeders. Will you no longer deal w/ them because this scammer now lives there? Or do you just have a problem w/ breeders from Florida in general? How many times did you get screwed by breeders here in Florida?

Just curious, to know what happened to you to cause you to not do business w/ anyone here in Florida, I guess it would be your loss anyway , Florida probably has some of the biggest & best known reptile breeders in the business. And I would guess more breeders than any other state as well.

Jim, I truly see your point thats like saying everyone in NY is bad, because Chris Johnson butt humped alot of people :hot:

I suggest you go back and actually read what I've said in it's entirety as opposed to just seeing the parts of it you want to. I didn't say at ANY point that I wouldn't do business with anyone from florida. I never said that I, myself, was screwed by anyone there. I've said nothing more than that I choose to be extra cautious. If you don't like that..tough. I highly doubt you'd begrudge me the right to make whatever geographical distinctions I see fit if it didn't hit so close to home. Just because you feel the need to sacrifice reality for the sake of painting a pretty picture of your state doesn't mean that I have any obligation to buy into it. If that makes me an ass..so be it.

No..As I said before..it's just the unknowns that make me skeptical (you'd know this if you had bothered to read what I said before getting worked up). But you can bet your ass that if I found out ray moved to Philly..I'd be just as quick to make the same distinctions about my own area as I have about yours. And I like to think I'm objective enough to not be too bent out of shape about others that place prudence above optimism in regards to me or my neck of the woods..but that's just me. Apart from this I don't know what to tell ya. :shrug01:

I read what you posted , I simply choose to ask those questions again.
I didnt just see only parts of it. And I dont like being lumped into a group simply because you don't like one breeder/dealer here in Florida.

Stop trying to make this into something its not.

It seems as though your trying to paint a picture of the breeders here in Florida. I rellay don't care who you buy from.
And it's pretty narrow minded that you judge a whole state on the actions of one scammer.

And thats just my opinion and you don't have to like it :throwup02

"I rellay don't care who you buy from."

Then stop whining about it and let this thread get back on topic. I'm done arguing with someone that can't/won't see reason. Good luck with that.

I'm not whining or arguing.

reasoning? where's the reasoning in judging ALL the breeders in the state of Florida based on one scammer?????

And I am not stopping anyone from posting about the "topic".
