In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

super duper pastel

I would agree that it is a nice pastel, but the fact of the matter is if it is not proven then it is just an exceptional example of the super. is it worth the asking price yes to some I just want to know if in any way shape or form is it genetic thats all if this can not be answered then i will take it as a no. so until proven other wise its a super pastel and should be marketed as such IMO

Not to rain on any parades but I have to agree with Craig. However that said, if someone wishes to pay extra even on the chance it may be genetic or because you especially like the appearance of a snake, then that is entirely up to them. My mojave female was priced higher because 'there was something special going on' per the breeder. It was only 25 dollars, she was def much more stunning then the others so I wanted her instead of the other 2 girls.

I do agree with freedom in pricing. I think the only thing I would have done to change the ad posted would be to say: This is possibly genetic but we have not proven it out yet. -- but its not my ad is it?

I'm glad to see Luis is here to discuss this though, since he is involved in the project and can at least shed some light on it in that way...and by the way Luis, welcome to the forums.

How old is your male? Do the super dupers tend to brown out when they get older? Do you have any photos of the babies from them? Man if I had the money I would snatch him up so fast it would make your head spin :D I cant wait to hear more about this new combo. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions :yesnod:

reply from graziani reptiles

Very quick responce from graziani which i am pleased with very good company with some great snakes.Ok now as you can see below it is not a proven as of yet. but that being said the price for the quality of the snake was never in dispute, If it were me i would be selling it as an exceptional super not the other because it is not proven but a very nice speciman. thank you all that responded with rational replys and not out to bash. Craig

I believe it is what other breeders are calling the fader gene. We have only crossed it into the Lesser so far and the outcome is very noticeable. This is a very new project so only time will tell. more info

i've been researching this possible new line as well, and while my first reaction was less than enthusiastic, i did find a few sources.http://ballpython.ca/collection/super%20pastel/super_pastel.html This is a link to markus jayne's website, where he tells the story of the "super duper". read the whole thing before you judge, but imo i think they are on to something. fun stuff!! by the way, thanks for the email luis and good luck with your project!!

Super Duper and Fader or Whiteout all very similar/the same thing. The first person to produce the Super Pastel Fader nicknamed the snake Super Duper Pastel because of the extreme blushings. When the snake is bread into other morphs and the Fader/Whiteout Gene is passed on the outcome can be amazing. There is little known about the genetics and why these pastels seem so different, but imagine if you drop the 1000 and breed that super to a pewter and the "Duper" carries over into your sterlings or streaks? BIG MONEY! Some dinkers have gone for WAY more!

Hello everyone i just wanted to shed light on the super dupers.
Me and greg graziani have been discussing this we dont know if it has anything to do with the fader gene it might. All we know that these super
dupers are very bright in color and very high blushing not like other super pastels from what i seen on the pic that was posted on this thread that is not a super duper. The super dupers when bred with other morphs enhances
them in color and blushing so far the super dupers to my knowledge have only been bred to a lesser and the pastel lessers are extremely light and the blushing is awsome. We really think we have something new for the industry
time will tell what other combos we can put them to.Im posting a pic of the
male that i am going to be breeding next year. I dont think no one has one that looks this good LOL.

HOLY CRAP HE IS GORGEOUS!!!!!!

I saw stuff on the super dupers about a year ago when I started out with ball pythons I cant remember who had them but the ad was on KS.......
I hadn't seen anything after that one post until now and I was curious about it as well because the ones that were posted before were just stunning there fading and contrast was ridiculous! I wish I could remember who it was.

Anyways Id say if that animal produces more like it......it would be worth it to me. As some one else said in this thread super pastels are looking more and more ugly due to peoples lack in breeding "quality" animals. It is very hard to find a "quality" super pastel these days and whether this snake has an "extra" gene in it or not it is still a ridiculously gorgeous animal!!!!

:)
