Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was wondering if anyone knows or has pics of any super fire combo's like pastel super fire etc... I have a chance to produce a couple different super fire combos and was wondering if I would be able to tell them apart Lol. I know you can tell with some of the all white snakes but haven't seen any black eyed lucy combos, any help is apreciated.

Thanks
Pat

Sean from EBN produced what he thinks to be a pastel super fire. It looked like a super fire but right behind his head lobes he had a glowing white stripe is about the best way i can describe it. I took pictures but it doesn't show up in them anyways, so no point of me posting them. He talked to quite a few people and they have never seen that glowing white stripe on any of their super fires, so he believes it was the pastel coming through.

Hey thanks for the reply. I have never seen any and was actually kinda surprised if it hadn't been done yet. Well I guess I will have to wait and see as I have a chance to produce pastel super fires, pin super fires, and pastel pin super fires.

I would imagine the super fire looks would over dominate most everything else. You might get a few subtle tint differences but I'm unsure if you would see any pattern in it.

This happens with Blue Eyed Lucys...so i can only assume it will be similar with the black eyed lucys. Maybe different if you get the high colored or "dirty" super fires.

I know my BEL still has stripes right above his eyes. You couldn't tell through pictures but if you look at her real close you can see them, she also has a feint yellow dorsal stripe. I know kevin and ma balls is working with het white diamonds x phantoms that show patterns and there an "all white snake." But what if you have a pattern mutation that effects the head like spider or clown would those feint head stripes be distorted? To add to your question would a super fires yellow stripe down its back be effected by the spider gene?

Also i know the karma spider "lesser/phantom/spider" shows pattern under a black light it would be interesting to see what happens to BlackEL or if anything popes up thats effecting the mojave complex like the mystic/phantom and yellow-belly complex like the spark/spector genes :p

The combo your referring to is a leche which is a mocha (het latte not white diamond) x a phantom and is nothing like a combo all white snake. Its closer to being a mystic potion if anything. mojave's, russo's (aka lemon het leucistic's), and mochas all react to phantom/mystics to produce crazy morphs kind of like yellow belly reacts to specter or highway etc. When you do combo all white snakes with other morphs the white is going to always overpower the other morphs. The only exception to this appears to be when you have more than 5 morphs fighting in the same snake, I only saw this in one of NERD's videos and it was a spider mixed with like a million other morphs. It seems each of the white snakes have their own morph that when combined produces something awesome. Its possible that the reactor morph is on the same allele as the morph it reacts with :shrug01:

I would say the vanilla cream is the fire's "mystic potion"

Man I was off! Thanks for correcting me Dustin. I totally agree with the vanilla cream being the fire version of the potion / passion mixes. Can't wait for both those combos to develop people are just starting to scratch the surface!

lol nah you weren't that far off the russo is as similar to the mocha as the mystic is to the phantom. Yeah I can't definitely like all of them and would love to get into the mocha projects because I love the leche but I only have so much room and between my recessive morphs and trying to prove out my own morph, my snake homes are taken lol.

Yeah Dustin I would like to have used my fem fire for something else(like my clown projects) but I had hatched a dragon fly that was questionable as it isnt the best example. So in order to confirm genetics incase I ever wanted to sell him I paired him with his mother to prove him out. I know he is a dragon fly so I was looking at poss outcomes and wondering if I will be able to tell them apart. Unlike other all white snakes super fires tend to have some color patches to them so was wondering if the pastel or even pinstripe might show up. So time will tell my female is close to ovulation and looks like 9-10 egg clutch so we shall see...

Dustin I agree I would rather be doing vanilla crosses but that will be next year as my dragon fly will be visiting the vanilla fem I got off you.

That will be very awesome Pat, someone else already brought it up but I've heard with lucy's that are combo's especially in your case if the pin is in the lucy if you put it under a black light you can see the pin pattern. I would say that's the best way to find out if there's anything hidden underneath. With color morphs you can sometimes tell because it will tint them that color. The best example I've seen of this is with enchi ivories, it makes them turn a real light shade of orange.

Has anything been done with super ember combo's? Those are the highest orange "Fire complex" supers I've seen, so it would stand to say that if the "dirty" supers will look different in combo's that would be the place to start looking. By "Fire complex" I mean fire, sulfur and ember seem to be extremely close mutations, while they have unique characteristics, I beleive them to be on the same allele just slightly tweeaked from each other in the way the allele is mutated. I know a hypo ember was produced but not sure if any super ember crosses have been done.

funny you should mention them I'm actually working on that project. I was going to sell that project off because I'm really going in other directions and could use the space but my ember het hypo male did lock with a fire female so I'm hoping she becomes gravid and then I've been pairing him with a pastel het ghost too so I guess if I end up pulling them off the market I could possibly have that pairing too which I would be very interested to see how ember pastels compare to fireflies.

but as far as I know Dave has only produced the super ember without any combos. I think he will have some more ember stuff coming out this year.

That's originally David Bellis's project correct? I've wondered what would happen with an ember and fire combo. Keep us posted.

David Reid is the one who proved out the morph, I got my male from him I think 2 years ago or something like that lol time goes by so fast I can't even remember when I bought him. I made a post in another thread with the lock and will do all the updates on there so you'll have to subscribe to it in hopes that I get eggs.
