In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was very pleased today to find an unexpected gecko hatch. It seems to be the complete opposite from its sibling. One is super dark and the other, almost a light peachy color. It's parents are like the darker sibling, so this really was a nice surprise!

Congratulations, it's so cool two have two clutchmates that are so different from each other. I really like the light one.

I have not seen one that light right out of the egg before!! Very unusual baby to say the least! Keep posting updates on it as it is truly unique!:D

Thanks, guys! Have to say, when I first saw the head sticking out I thought it could have been an albino. I had a lot of nice thoughts running in my head :)

I'll be sure to upate with picturs! And sorry, he's not for sale :)

The gecko looks A LOT like the one I hatched, with patterning. Eyes and all. What was most notable was the pink veins running through the eyes. It was suggested to me by several sources that it was probably a hypo-melanistic form.

Unfortunately, the same genetics that probably caused it to come out that color also caused it to be weaker and somewhat malformed. The gecko would have survived indefinitely probably if we continued to hand feed it, but it had malformed feet and was not really able to climb. Needless to say, if I was able to raise it to adulthood I wouldn't have bred it, as it was obviously suffering from other genetic issues other than just a cool new color.

I am just wondering if this baby has any body deformities as well. I thought I noticed similar feet deformities to the one I hatched out. Or is this a perfect specimen? It is hard to tell from the pictures. And really, you cant notice it from mine so much either. But you can tell if it does not appear to be able to move around as much as a regular hatchling. If it has similar deformities, then it would seem that geckos that catch out with this type genetic trait, thus far, also typically suffer from other genetic abnormalities. It's a shame because this is exactly what we need to give the crested gecko market a shot in the arm. A new form to breed into the morphs that are quite typical now. Please let me know how this little one fares as I am pretty sure it has the same genetic mutation that mine did. The veins running through the eyes are pink, but the center is still black, indicating that it is NOT an albino, but probably some hypo-melananistic form.

Good luck with this one if it is healthy. Propagation should be your first priority to try to replicate more by breeding back to the parent if you know who produced it. Only if it is a 100% healthy mutation in all other regards of course.

Unfortunately, it does seem to be having some issues with it's front legs. I can take some pictures later in the week. I have high hopes, but only time will tell how he'll grow

Here is hoping you do better with your little guy/girl. It would really be great to see what this gecko looks like as it matures. Please keep us all posted.

they are both so cute! I thought hypo when I saw that light one as well. Hope it's okay
