In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

 Alright I'm mad. I just happened to change the channel to Animal Planet and this show swamp wars was on. This show is crap!! A venom 1 team goes around responding to calls about snakes and monitors, all the while the freaking narrator is saying how bad these reptiles are, how horrible they are to the environment. That they can kill your pets and even you. (and yes I know they are an invasive species and need to be dealt with but come on!!) And then they show random videos of idiots who get bit by their snakes, the entire time they are saying how bad the snake is and how bad the bite is. What about the freaking snake!!! A pet snake that was being handled by multiple people and finally struck the owners face, in turn he yanks it off. Never did try say how it affected the snake or the fact that the snake died cause of an infection caused by all the teeth that got yanked out of its freaking head!! AAAAAAAHHHHHH:angry:
Ok I'm done :ack2:

I Used to watch it when it was actually educational. Now it's all random shows with extremely biased information. What happened? I have only gone without cable for 3 years, this channel went down hill that bad?

I HATE ANIMAL PLANET. Especially that "Call of the wildman" show. "Oh my god this is the deadliest copperhead I've ever seen!!!!! Oops its a corn snake." "Corn snakes are nice but ratsnakes are mean" THEYRE THE SAME F*****G THING!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anytime I see anybody watching AP I walk over to the television and turn it off.

Their programing has been exactly the same since day one,it was new and flashy and people werent paying attention to what was being suggested
"as science".

Animal planet is only trying to keep up with ratings, fear is what keeps us watching. Most of this supposed info they have on the invasive species are either false truths, inaccurate, or just completely besides the point. They act like burms and monitors are the cause of total native habitat destruction, yet they dont even think about the feral cat populations that are in florida that are more likely the real culprits behind the destruction of native wildlife. Douglas Mader, literally the man who wrote the book on herp medicine, has evidence of Burms living in florida for the past 40 years, so why is it such a fuss now?? As much as the public would like to hear that boa constrictors are spreading out of control, there is a group of boas that have been studied and tracked in florida for almost 30 years now, that have not migrated at all. Its all crap and its bad for you

I dunno about that. I would religiously watch Animal Vets and Croc Hunter every single day they were on. Those two shows i think are what drove that station for a very long time.

I think there were a couple more, but it didnt always used to be SO bad as it is now. Hell, we just watched Croc Hunter two nights ago on Youtube just to see steve in action again.

I have to disagree. Steve Irwin was the man, and still is. Its sad that those kind of shows are no longer being showed and this generation of kids are missing out. I grew up with that and he is one of the reasons I love reptiles today. And I also remember a few other ones as well but I can't really remember what they were called...

When Irwin passed it opened the door for the current Science Fiction media
presented on AP.There are no high profile defenders to contend with there fore the free reign position has held a steady coarse.

I watched this show recently and was appalled. Could they use the word "yet" any more than they do now. "No one has been killed, yet."

Then there is their infamous "for now"s. Their population is isolated to the park, for now."

The moon hasn't crashed into the Earth, yet. We are safe, for now...

No kidding, this is the smut that AP is making the general public scared of reptiles. And there's no freaking need for it!!

Al used to post on the Reptile Room forums. He seemed like a knowledgeable guy back then. Now he is just a sell out putz!

Animal Planet...just like any other network...is trying to put "meat in the seats"
Make everything bigger than it is.
I think alot of that show has "planted" reptiles.

I am the exact same way, I watched Steve when I was 4 years old and when I was 6 I got my first corn snake and tailed him like Steve did all the hots  without the croc hunter I would probably be terrified of snakes like everyone else and believe this crap Animal Planet is spewing out.
