I think men and women must be different when it comes to sympathy, at least some of them. This morning I had car trouble and am stuck at home and needed sympathy.
Sometimes. when you share a misfortune with a girl friend you both share how bad it is, and maybe have a good cry or talk about it. then you are better, and can handle it.
But, when you talk to a guy, they either try to make suggestions to fix the problem; or they give a quick uh huh to acknowledge that they heard you so you won't smack them. They are genuinely trying to be helpful, but I think in a different way. They are not very introspective about it all.
So, give me a reality check. Do YOU perceive such differences when it comes to sympathy?
