    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Have any of you ever used a tank dividor to keep two snakes seprate? If so what did you use? I really don't want to use a fish dividor (dosen't feel like it would do anygood and would not keep bug from transfering). Now keep in mind this is for two very small balls (292g and 140g). I was told to used cardboard and cover it with tinfoil. I am finding getting the exact temps a bit hard. The basking spot wants to be either too hot or two cold. :( (it is jumping between 88 (temp on bottom of cage) to much higher. I can not seem to get a temp around 94-100 on bottom of tank.

In all honesty, it's probably simpler to just buy another tank. Given their sizes, I'm guessing they're in a relatively small cage (not too small, just that we're not talking about a 300 gallon tank), which is probably why you're having trouble with a thermal gradient; if the tank is small enough, the dissipation of heat via conduction and convection (air movement) will effectively eliminate any heat gradient.

Also, cardboard covered with aluminum would be no better than plain cardboard, except maybe for ease of cleaning. It'll still act as an insulator, which will aggravate your problems of heat buildup.

It may cost a bit, but it'd probably be much less of a headache to just buy a second cage. But I'm of the opinion that with enough money, any captive difficulty can be overcome, and fantasize about creating a massive, computer-run cage, just to have one.
