Hello , This is sean I dont want to make a big deal out of this for anyone else. But I do thank everyone for their time on this. For the pic. I took mine the day I posted the thred hers I dont know .For the emails I will post them if some one could help me with that. Do I cut and paste the emails or give links to the info I also used the info that was provided and called her and sent 3 more contact info a phone call a pm and another email plus a dispute trough paypal so now there isnt much eals I can do IN MY OPINION she has seen my emails COME ON !!!!!!!!!!!! SHE NEW THE ANIMALS WHERE IN THE SHAPE THEY WERE AND KNEW SHE SENT ME A ( B.S.) PIC AND KNEW I WOULD HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THEM AND NOW WILL NOT RETURN ANY THING NO REFUND OR EMAILS IT IS ONE OR THE OTHER. IF any one would think that I would waste my time to make up a( b.s.) story and bogus pics and waste all of everyones time on this you are very wrong all I wanted to do is just warn others of this seller In hope of saveing them from getting taken for a fool I will post all I have to help if I left parts of the story out it was not to defend me or her it was to make the post short and direct easy to understand thx agin

Unfortunately, it is a big deal. When I send money away for something I want or need, it's certainly a big deal to me.

If you are having difficulty posting emails, forward them to me at pdx_vw_erik ( .at. ) hotmail.com and I will try to post them for you. Posting these emails will give you some sort of credibility, which is very important on the BOI.

With the exception of what I placed in bold from your response, I would follow Mike's (captnemo) advice. A simple cut and paste of the emails with dates and times should suffice and stand as somewhat solid evidence of what actually transpired here. If you will be including your paypal dispute, please be sure to block out any of your personal banking #'s or credit card #'s prior to posting.

Now as for what I did bold above. I'm not confident to state that she KNEW the condition of the animals she was sending. There could be a logical (though definitely not right) explanation for that which you think you know as a fact. Perhaps she never actually even saw the animals and simply acted as a broker in the deal? (That explanation could be easily shot down if you say that the label on the shipping box had her info on it of course). She could also say she shipped the wrong animals to you by mistake. (explaining she had two deliveries going out). She could also say she left the packing for her husband to do because she had an emergency and he selected and shipped the wrong animals.

Certainly I'm not defending them or trying to provide excuses for them, but rather recalling from some past incidences where such has actually been the case.

I don't think anyone here thinks you are making up stuff, it's just important that as many facts as possible (which would include the emails and such) are provided so people can see for themselves what's going on. It's clear that the geckos you received are in TERRIBLE condition, and I am *personally* appreciative that you've brought this to our attention. It's just important that your posts have as much info as possible so there is little to no doubt about what transpired.

BTW, did you take the geckos or a fecal sample to the vet per chance? I'm curious about the diagnosis. Do you have these geckos completely separate from any other geckos you may have? How are they doing? Poor things..........

Well, I went out of my way to provide additional information in a means for Sean to get in touch with Tara to find a resolution. All I've asked in return was to simply be able to review the emails, and was told by Sean that he was going to post them.

Not really sure what to make of this complaint anymore.

A good question, however if I were on the inquiry side of this, I'd certainly respond to protest for my innocence and demand proof of these claims.

Here's the deal, Chuck....Sean originally started a thread in the gecko forum titled something along the lines of "Look how I got ripped off". This thread told his story and showed the pics that he has since posted here. Harald locked the thread in the gecko forum and instructed Sean to post here, after reading the rules of the BOI. Sean didn't read the rules and posted a new thread here, but neglected to mention anything about "Tara Reed" or her username in the title. Harald then locked that thread to give Sean ample time to copy and paste in order to start a new one. Sean chose not to.

Either Ed decided it was important enough to warn the herp community about Tara, that he started an inquiry in order to bring Sean out of the woodwork, so to speak, or he saw her ad for crested's and was thinking of adding to his colony. Etiher way, Sean is out of the proverbial woodwork, and should really pony up and post at least something other than a couple pics.

While I am not defending Tara in any way, shape, or form, especially if she indeed did sell geckos in that condition....it bothers me when folks say that her lack of response leaves us no choice but to believe that she is an awful and terrible person. This is the first time in over a week that I have been here, and I believe it was a couple of weeks before that I was here previously. Apparently, there have been a couple of folks trying to get ahold of me online in that time frame as well, but if I don't get online, I don't know. Sometimes life happens, and we have other things going on. It certainly doesn't have to mean we are avoiding things....

Has Sean tried calling her? Chuck did the work for him and found phone numbers and such.

So its your belief as well that Special Ed didn't actually start this thread as a legitimate inquiry for himself, but rather he started it as an offering point for Sean to share his experience because Sean cant comprehend the rules.

Needless to say that while Sean took full advantage of Special Ed's totally bogus inquiry, he's still not posted one shred of credible evidence, evidence that he's even actually had a transaction with Tara.

I'm not against helping another member - but this is not the manner in which it should be done and it should not be tolerated. The assistance that Special Ed was offering Sean should have been transparent from the beginning.
