I'm back on the mainland (and able to properly care for creatures of interest again) and see that there's so much more knowledge about arachnids and some I didn't know about snakes since my last brush with the fascination.
Got a question that I realize has no definite answer, would like to build a large habitat (maybe 5ft tall. 2ft wide and 3 ft across?) that I could house both a snake and tarantulas. Would like a semi-aboereal (SP?) snake that isn't a habitual biter and aboereal (pretty) tarantulas.I understand young red-tail boas are semi-aboereal and tame well? Dumeril's boa sounds cool but I believe it's a teresstial snake only? Hog island boa? The tarantulas for the habitat looks like it goes to the pink-toe, I've had them before and would like to try something different if it's out there. The pink toes were fun anyway and wouldn't mind having them again. For the size of pen I'm thinking 5 tarantulas and one snake? Also would like to have a separate habitat for a Cobalt Blue Tarantula and maybe another for a Goliath Bird Eater? Also maybe interested in trying my hand at breeding a couple of Apricot Pueblan Milk Snakes. Any tips or thoughts will be greatly appreciated, I want the best for these guys. Humidity/Temp, food items and other?
