This is to warn anyone against Tarrie West (dendroboard name: tarrie4111) and making any type of deals with him. So here is how my situation went down:
8/20/10- We made a trade deal where I would receive a sexed pair of E. Trivitattus green and he would receive 4 British Guyana tadpoles in return. We planned to both ship that following Monday (8/23/10)
8/23/10 I had to cancel shipping for that day because something came up. I notified Tarrie right away and made sure that he had not already shipped. He replied via txt that he had not shipped due to work. We planned to ship the following day (Tuesday 8/24/10)
8/24/10 I shipped my package to Tarrie and explained to him that due to his rural location they could not guarantee for next day, but the latest of Thursday at 3pm. Due to my packing and previous experience I told him they should be fine. Although he did not ship my package like discussed.
8/25/10 I asked via txt if he had shipped the previous day. No response. Then I asked for a second time. Later that day he txt me asking for the tracking # again because he was having trouble tracking over the net. I gave him the # again and a phone number to call as well if it didn’t work. I asked again if he shipped. No response to my question, but a thank you for the info I sent him.
8/26/10 I txt to see if he had received his package. He explained that it had been taken to the post office because he was not there at the time of delivery due to being at work. He said he would pick them up the next day in the morn along with shipping my trivittatus.
8/27/10 Tarrie went and picked up his package and the tadpoles were ok. Thank goodness. He did not ship my package.
8/27/10 txt me that he tried to ship but there was no overnight on Friday for Saturday delivery. Which I know after being in the hobby for 10+ years. I told him that I was not happy with him and that I was going to post to the BOI. He became very apologetic and offered to ship anyways but not wanting to be held responsible if I didn’t get my package until Monday. I told him absolutely not, and to please ship on Monday. He promised that he would and that I would have my frogs no later then Tuesday.
8/30/10 Tarrie sent me a txt at 12:14 explaining that he was going to ship in a little bit and he would txt me the tracking number asap. At 2:30 I replied with a “k”.
8/30/10 5:24 pm I sent text…” tracking #?” no reply
7:41pm I sent… :can you plz send me my tracking #?” no response
8/31/10 7:44am I sent another txt.. :what is the tracking #? Did you even ship?”
8:43am I sent another txt explaining how I had to leave work early for a dr.’s appt and a funeral and I needed to make arrangements for the delivery of the package…”did you get around to shipping?” no response.
12:29pm “did you ship?” still no response
So here I am Tuesday evening at 8:00pm with no package and no responses to my text messages to Tarrie. I warn you to not trust this guy. Hopefully there is a really good explanation to his short comings, and I am a reasonable person and would work something out if there was any type of situation. No responses to my txt’s is not acceptable in my opinion. So be aware of this Tarrie on Dendroboard…Thanks for reading…Sara DeLaRue also known as FORESTEXOTICS…
