In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi guys, I've got an 09 BCI whose got a couple of his front teeth on his lower jaw stabbed thru to the lip, should I seek a vet for this or should I just wait for him to lose those teeth and regrow the new ones? One fell out as I was inspecting him, and he looks like he has 2 or 3 more sticking through. Any opinions and suggestions are welcome. Thank you.

At least disinfect the wounds ASAP - a Betadine or Chlorhexadine wash.... I've nothing to offer on the teeth I'm afraid.

If you have time - what happened? Any pics?

Well I came back from a vacation to see hes still got some swelling but the lip started to push the teeth out on its own. I decided to do a lil home surgury yesterday because it didnt look infected at all, and was pretty much out. I grabbed the smallest probe I could find, and worked it out as gently as possible. After a few mins it popped free and I disinfected with betadine. Checked him today and theres no swelling, discoloration, or fluids. So things look to be good.

Thank you Helen for some advice. I noticed it after a feeding, but hes had these issues before but never a full puncture, so I was kinda worried this time. I handled this myself because I was comfortable not going to the vet. I in no way advocate anyone else who doesnt feel comfortable performing this on their animals, I do not have a degree in medicine. If u feel it needs to go to vet, take it. Thanks for reading.

My theories are that he is either a sloppy eater and just catches his lip sometimes, or he has some deformity that either grows his lip or his teeth crooked. But Ive only observed it after feedings, and he looks normal any other time, so Im pretty confident hes just a sloppy eater.
