Kayla,kayla,kayla,
In January, you purchased a tegu from me. This is your email to me upon receiving it.

We got him! He's big and healthy, thank you very much.
Then in April, at the height of the breeding season, you wanted an adult female. As I explained then,
I cannot hold tegus while you make up your mind.

Hi Rodney,
I'm looking to purchase another tegu. Do you have any older females? I'd appreciate a few examples of what you have.

Hi Kayla,
As this is breeding season, I am not selling adult females at this time. I have some great males available
or smaller 16 -24 inch unsexed.
If you are ready to purchase, I will send pictures of the exact tegu I will be sending.
I can’t hold one aside for more than a day or so. (bad for tegus and me). Sooner would be better than later.

You never arranged to purchase, asked about payment, or delivery. Just said you were
interested and this is after I had just explained that I can’t hold tegus while you make up
your mind.
I have all 27 of the emails between you and I. I never became hostile with you.
I am a professional. Not sure what you are.
If you have anything to prove otherwise, post it now.
As stated in the BOI rules “If there is mention of anyone's words (I heard this or someone told me that), then that person needs to be identified by name” This is needed to keep people like you from making statements like this.
“this man has a short fuse and so many others who have dealt with him know he is very unprofessional and becomes very hostile when anything against his business is brought to his attention.”
I am not sure what to say about this:
“As for my parasite infested tegu, here's the paperwork. (He turned out to be female by the way after I asked for a male)”
Sooo, You bought a tegu from me that was : (your words) “Big and healthy”
Then wanted to buy another one without committing to purchase.
Now, after having the tegu in your care for 5 months, you show a ‘Vet report’
that is not dated, have the name of the vet, or your name as the person ordering it.
Then you say the tegu died while under your care.
Now, following all this, you, as an amateur hobbyist, attempt to drive my customers
by making false statements with respect to how my animals are kept after I rescue them
from a massive state effort to euthanize thousands from the same areas I trap.
I have, to date, captured and rehomed over fifteen hundred tegus. It is a full time
job that I do with passion because it is not their fault. It takes a great deal of money
and commitment to do what I do. Bottom line is this: the tegu that is not purchased
by a customer due to your rantings, will probably be killed. Do not even try to
to act as if care about tegus. If you can capture, build enclosures, feed and care for
several hundred tegus at any given time. Do it, or remain silent.
It is important for people to be aware of what is happening here.
I spend a great deal of time and money to inform the public and focus
on this problem. Video projects are an effective method to reach and inform.
I do not charge or make profit for this work. I do so because it is necessary.
I created and designed this video to generate impact and attention in the same way
the ASPA, Feed the Children and others use intense content to convey a message.

The tegu was in no danger. My bullets go where I tell them. As far as stress
to the tegu, pay close attention to its reaction in the trap. Note the lack of
stressful actions or movement and consider the fact that it is one less that
will be killed.
As far as your accusation : “He doesn't treat these animals properly, they're crawling all over each other in over crowded enclosures”. How would you know? It takes large enclosures to house large numbers. I have that. As a hobbyist, how much do you know about tegu behavior in a group environment? They are very social animals that prefer to be together in a group. I have large enclosures that allow them to freeroam and go where they want.

I hope you have learned something here and will think a little before using a reputable
site like Tegutalk as your personal weapons platform.
